Re: hatch slides mod correction

The bar code number you listed is the correct number. The individual who inserted this number into their computer system obviously mistyped a digit.

Re: Smart Rails installed!

Without exception it appears that all comments and photos regarding the effectiveness of the "smart rail", to prevent waves from riding up the sides, deal with outboard speeds of ten plus knots. My outboard happens to be a 9.9 hp Honda which only provides my Mac with a slightly above norma...

To Batten or Not

Without main battens how much does the lack of battens effect sail efficiency. How many of you are sailing without battens? If battens are an indispensable accessory could someone suggest a source :|

Khaki Inflator

I will soon purchase an inflatable khaki and my dilemma is an inflator. An inflator
to inflate a khaki to its rigid dimensions obviously must be quite robust. Can
anyone recommend an inflator of a compact size robust enough to meet my requirements?

Anchor Windless

Has anyone installed an anchor windless on their Mac, if so, how and what method was used for the installation? I intend to carry a 25 lb Manson Supreme and my age (over 65) this weight could at times be very difficult to retrieve. I realize this size anchor would probably be considered overkill for...

Re: Third Reef

Had mine done by a local loft, Pinapple Sails. The sails were made by Quantum but they wanted to charge more and take more time. I'm very happy with the work and having a third reef is great, being in a windy area as I am. Would you mind providing the cost of this service? Also, I am considering a ...

Third Reef

I am considering adding a third reef to my main. I know there are many sail lofts
who perform this service but would prefer a recommendation from a fellow Mac
owner who have had this done and are highly satisified. Are there any recommendations?

What an excellent idea. Would you provide the size of your skinny and fat ones? :)

Fenders

I am preparing to purchase three fenders for my new 26M. My question is the recommended size. What size do most of you have? I was thinking about either 5 x 20 or 6 x 23. Any recommendations? :|

Re: New Mac delivery today

I selected a Honda 9.9. My preference is a sailboat, not a powerboat.

Re: New Mac delivery today

My hull number is 2160. It took right at six weeks from the time of order to delivery. Initially I was informed to expect a delay of six to eight weeks. Chucktro, Congratulations! Could you please post your hull number, there has been some discussion lately about a slow down in Mac production. I'd b...

Re: Galley stove alchohol consumption

I realize my question was totally misleading. The answer to which I was seeking was total hours of burn time during intermittent use, not a continuous flame during one lighting.

Galley stove alchohol consumption

My galley has an Origo 2000 alcohol stove. Filled with one quart of alcohol, at full flame, could someone give me an approximation of how many hours the flame will last?

New Mac delivery today

I wish to introduce myself as a new member to the Mac community. Eventually I would hope to contribute certain ideas to this forum as many of you have. My new 09 Mac was delivered today to "The Sailboat Shop" dealer located at Lake Pleasant, Arizona. It is currently being prepped but still...
