Re: stern rail seats for 26X

Rszobel,
Do you know who made the seats and do you have pictures of them? Thanks, Tony

Re: Hatch board mod

Dave,
I think you would be disappointed. It is somewhat or a storage receptacle at this time. Need to put it back closer to the top of my priorities. Thanks for the offer though. Tony

Hatch board mod

Hello Yall, I haven't used my boat for a number of years but I'm working on a mod to the hatch board to make the boat seal up a lot better. I looked on the Sailrite web site and I found some attachments for cloth that I am going to use to mount another piece of sheet aluminum to the hatch board. Thi...

Re: Marine Stereo Installation

Niceaft,
I think it took a few years but I eventually had to remove the speakers and I had big holes to fill. I have the M pod helm on my x. I bought a set of box speakers that I will mount under the pod. I don't want to have to fill in another set of holes. Have fun, Tony

Re: Marine Stereo Installation

Hello,
I would advise against mounting the speakers through the hull sides. Eventually the speakers will decade and compromise the integrity of the cabin. Take it from me I have a little experience with that. I mounted mine in the pedestal. Have fun, Tony

Re: Questions on ramps in Charleston,SC

Vulcan, Try the City marina. It is on the southern part of town but definitely within walking distance of most of the stuff. It won't be cheap but mostly meets your requirements. It has a useable ramp that I saw someone else using their Mac on. If you have a place to park, as in staying in a motel, ...

Re: First Day With Instructor

Hey Y'all and you to Gary, I am the Tony that revitalized the monster in Gary. We had a great time today. Not the best day at first to help someone learn their boat. I could have done things a little better to get the boat shipshape for the winds that we had initially. One we got things straightened...

Re: Could this trailer work for an X?

Vitger, This is just my opinion. I do not like rollers because they concentrate all of the weight of the boat on the surface area of the number of rollers. On my trailer I have bunks that run the length of the boat. More sure area. Personally it could work for me but I have the tools to remove the r...

Re: Fuel Valve Mod for two tank system Mac X

Catigale and others,
I did the same for my X. I installed the valve in the motorwell so it is about out of the way like yours is. Looking at yours I was thinking that you might want to put a guard around the valve to prevent someone from kicking it. Just a thought. Tony

Re: Urgent X dimension needed ASAP

I am finally getting around to making the rear arch so that I can get rid of the center mast pole. I want to be able to have the full enclosure up and still sail. There is a place in south jersey that has cheap metal compared to charleston. So it worked out that I was able to visit my parents and ge...

Mr. Briggs,
Thank you very much. Now I just need to make sure that I had the tubing cut to the right dimensions. Thanks again, Tony

Re: Reconnect Centerboard Cable

My Thoughts for you PonK, I am in the same boat, well maybe mine is a different boat but it is still a X. My cable was intact last year when I lost the bolt that goes through the board. I was able to hold up the board with a rope under the boat on the way back to the dock. I am in the process of fib...

Im pretty sure that I know

Since Alberta is not tooooo far from Seattle, I will assume that your boat is a Blue Water Yachts boat. Even though I live in South Carolina, I bought my bought from Blue Water Yachts. I drove out and picked it up and then drove back. Well to answer the question. They are fender holders that Blue Wa...

Re: Anchor Rescue

Hey Ya'll, I live in Charleston. We have a fairly popular fishing spot called the Sixty Foot Reef. It is made up of old bridge trestles. I have dived on it. There are more anchors per square foot then there are in most factories. I don't know how they are all there without any rodes to go with them....
