Re: mainsail attachment to mast or boom?

Hmmm, mine doesn't do that, I have a Hyde replacement main that is hooked to the gooseneck with a twist shackle. Mine is loose footed, but does have a slide at the foot of the tack as well as the clew.

Do you have a picture?

...However posting random photos or video here is a pita. That is one of the main reasons why this site is lagging in my opinion.... Ixnay All of that may change in the near future. Again, stay tuned.... with any luck, the forum may have a new and more enhanced life. That's all I can say for now, b...

Re: '89 26D missing bulkhead

Thank you for the details. I just got the boat last weekend and have still been trying to clear out the wasps that I brought back along with it. I figured perhaps the PO took it out to save weight, possibly for racing, but that's only a guess. I was thinking of using that or a hard foamed PVC board...

Re: Newbie, retrieving a 26x

Ramp angle is key. I typically retrieve without blast since there is a side dock. Liquid rollers on the front v-bumper pull our on til the stern is barely floating to lift the bow and rewinch. Always ebrrake and chock the wheels.

Re: Good Cheap Generators: Harbor Freight & Ramsond Sinemate

I'm really looking for light. My power set up was designed to have the Honda e1000 on board to charge batteries in cloudy weather. Since I don't have it on board right now I've been using the engine but if I could find a generator easy enough to take in and out of the boat I'd use it at least a few...

Re: Chinook's Great Loop

Correct, Metro North is on the East Bank of the Hudson . West Bank is freight. Metro-North has rail service from Grand Central Station in mid-town Manhattan, up the east bank of the Hudson. Trains to Garrison, NY, directly across the river from West Point, take approx 1 hour and 10 minutes and cost ...

Re: Honda BF50 Stalling Under Load Today

I looked up the parts on the Honda marine site and found part 16100-ZW4-D23ZA for the entire assembly. boats.net had it in stock and $60 under list. Free 2-day shipping. Couldn't be happier.

Re: Honda BF50 Stalling Under Load Today

Update on an old thread. I was having a similar stalling issue, It would run, (poorly) choked, but off choke it would stall at idle. Ran poorly at 3/4 throttle to limp around. New gas, filters, different tank, inspected lines, checked plugs and wires. Cleaned carbs as best I could on the boat ad in ...

Other than at airport, you can't get that where I am in upstate NY
I'm pretty close, and just noticed that Stewarts Shops are now selling Ethanol Free Premium 91 octane at most stores.
