Re: Best Inflatable Kayak for a Sailboat

Someone on this site suggested this one some time ago. Looks interesting. Q1 http://www.kaboat.net/inflatable-kayak-boats-12.asp That very well might have been me - I have a 12-foot Saturn KaBoat for my dinghy, and I discussed it in this thread a few posts up. I think it's pretty good as a tender, ...

Best Inflatable Kayak for a Sailboat

I don't have a MacGregor anymore. It is now a 23' O'Day but I've always found this site very informative. Can anybody reccommend the best inflatable kayak for a sailboat? I am taking an extended vacation and would also like to do some whitewater kayaking. I was thinking of a Aire Tomcat or maybe a S...

Can't get a Bulwagga anchor anymore

I searched and can't get a Bulwagga anchor anymore. Too bad, the one I had was very nice. I wonder what happened to them? Was there a design flaw?

I wasn't going to announce it until the sale was finalized but I have a buyer for my boat. Sadly, I have probably had my last sail with my super boat. It sure was fun! :)

plagued by bad battery cable/low battery symptom

I have been having some trouble starting my boat because of what I thought was a low battery. This has been plaguing me for some time. On occasion, I'd accidently turn on my fish finder and not notice it. I thought this was running down my battery and causing the problem. This weekend with a battery...

Fran, Very sorry to see your boat in that condition; but thank you for sharing your misfortune so we can learn from it. My son and I have been studying your photos and are speculating it was those portholes that caused your flooding. Forgetting to seal them would be too easy; I can identify, I've do...

I wonder if your fuel had ethenhol. I have been concerned about the longevity of gasoline mixed with 10% ethanol. Could water have settled-out?

MArk - that Dinghy video was inspired by 'Scanners' no doubt... Wasn't sure what a scanner was so I looked it up. It is an electronic device that generates a digital representation of an image for data input to a computer. I'm not sure how they used this technology to create this video but they did...

Re: $720 fill up

Just returned from a boys weekend at Catalina 2 harbors. Decided to leave Mac at home and ride in buddy's 42 foot sea ray sedan bridge 400. Fill up at Jankovic commercial fuel dock was 260 gallons at $2.70 a gallon = $702! Ouch. Great boat tho in rough seas, we had 5-7 feet and heavy wind confused ...

Chopper Guns

Discussed fiberglass repair with two shops. Both shops thought that the Mac was built with Chopper Guns Most of our competitors use "chopper guns" to build their boats. These are devices for spraying a mixture of resin and very short strands of fiberglass. We don't use them, even though th...
