rainwater ingress
Hi, We had a storm where we got a couple inches of really intense pounding rain in a few hours. When I went and checked on my x, I discovered some water in the bilge on both sides. I have never had any water from rain before come in. Where should I check for potential leaks? deck hardware? Leaking w...

what kind of stove do you use?
I am curious what kind of stove do most people use: Alcohol, propane, butane? and what model?
is there any reason why we would not want to use a coleman camping propane stove ?
Anything to stay away from in terms of safety / fire risk?

new sail: in stock mac sails vs custom sails
Does anyone have a view of in stock mac sails (eg BWYachts, sailwarehouse, discount sails ...) vs custom sails in terms of quality? I assume most sails are made in Asia now? Anyone know of anyone else that stocks mac sails other than the above? I assume all custom sails take 5 weeks, anyone know a c...

Re: Self tacking jib
Hi,
The old links on the EZ cleats (above) no longer work. Does anyone have a picture of how this works and know where you get them?
I am hoping this can be a poor man's self tacking jib
Thanks

Re: Loose footed sail question - avoiding chafing?
Thanks for the feedback. I assume I need a way of mounting the sail tack to the gooseneck that will raise the bottom of the sail a couple inches. Do others use a different connection to the gooseneck than the way shown below or a different gooseneck? https://i.postimg.cc/PC9rBc6C/IMG-20200629-212423...

26X main sail slider question
Hi,
I have a 1999 26X and my main sail slider diameter is 11 mm except at the top of the sail where the top foot has 7 mm sliders.
Do others have the same arrangement with narrow sliders at the top of the main or all your sliders the same diameter?
Thanks

Re: davit for towing dinghy
This mod looks much like the Dinghy Tow commercial product from Davron Marine Products
http://dinghy-tow.com/
Unfortunately, Davron do not make a product that will fit a Macgregor

nesting dinghy or folding dinghy photo on a MacGregor?
Hi, Does anyone have a picture of a nesting dinghy (eg PTWatercraft or Nestway) or folding boat (eg portabote, seahopper) on their Macgregor? I am considering these dinghy options for my X and wanted to find a picture to see what they would look like on the deck (nesting) or tied to the lifelines (f...
