Re: optimum speed for fuel economy m26

There are just too many variations where i sail to get an accurate fuel consumption using the rpm of your engine, ive found that by adjusting the angle of the engine effects the speed of the boat, and then there is tide and wind to consider and wave height also,i can potter around all day getting grea...

Re: Tilt TubeProblems

john, ive seen macs with a cover over the linkage to stop it becoming a hazard and to also protect it,ive also changed my teleflex for a longer one,i stuck with the original route and its important that you dont have sharp turns in it.

Re: Wind and Waves

ive had my mac out in a force 7,the worst that ive been through was when i hit "outfalls" at the wrong time,i learned to look at the charts closer after that,as has been said its all a learning curve,i can go sailing in a force 8 if the wind is coming from the south and west but as soon as...

Re: Great Memorial Day Sailing...until the mast came down

I have a spare 26m mast in my back yard, unfortunately the cost of shipping from the UK would be greater than the cost of buying a new one.I too had the experience of my mast coming down, the line from the tow boat slipped as a result of wave action and it ran up the rigging and it caused it to collap...

Re: Outboard Lifting System Cengine power tilt)

i think ill check the hydraulic oil level first, theres a nut and an allen key that i am assuming are to do with fluid levels,if that does not work then ill have a go at the switch.

Re: Aft Wanders Like Crazy on Mooring?

I tried a lot of things to slow the mac dance down, none of them were particularly sucess full as it was tidal flow that was the main cause for mine, however i did add a safety link to the bow roller,a simple bolt accross the top to stop the bow line from jumping out and causing damage,a lenght of pla...
