Re: navigation via Ipad?

Wouldn't the ipad gps work off triangulation off the cell phone towers and not true satellite gps, therefore not as accurate and not usable as a nav. device when out of tower ranges?

Re: Butane Stove or Coleman Camping stove?

jschrade- you might like the Coleman Two Burner Fold-N-Go for its size, fits well next to my Fagor nesting cookware in the galley "cabinet" and holds two 12" pots/pans.

Re: Hull Deck Separation

DaveB-- As I also live in C.C. and own a 26X, I would be very interested in watching (or giving you a hand if needed) during your hull/ deck joint repairs. If you have enough help, I'll gladly stay quietly out of your way and just observe. If this is O.K. with you, please PM or email me with details.

X tried to sink!

Knocked my transom mounted depth/fish finder transducer off my X and didn't know it until about two weeks later I noticed it listing to the port side and getting low in the water. I pulled it onto our lift and found the transducer hanging by its cable. Obviously the screws pulled out allowing water ...

Louis- Is Casual the brand name. All of the Loew's around me are out of them, but maybe I can find them online. Loews does have a 12 pack "casual" solar lights but I don't know if they're the same. I've been burned (bad choice of wording) by solar lights before, so I'm judging by how brigh...

I concur with all of the above. I know there are other mainsail roller furlers available, but not being an engineer of any type, I would prefer a setup that had been installed and fully tested on a 200? 26X by people who know the boat inside and out with all its quirks than to order one from elsewhe...
