Re: Help!!! Where's Heath?

No, I am not wanting another boat! I cannot work the Deck anymore, due to a Bad Back! L-2 to L-5 are shot! That's life! I was hoping I could have it resolved, but doubt it now! I did, However Buy Two Hobie Islands! A Single and a Tandem! They have Sails, and that's just how I will get my Fix for Sal...

Help!!! Where's Heath?

So, it's been years since I have been online here, but want to sell my boat on here, a 26X! I trudged through the posting process, to only find that PayPal is the Only acceptable means of payment! I refuse to get an account, but can pay by CC. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Heath, or anyo...

Ahoy, Landlubber to become Seabourne once again!

Hello all! I see many new names, but quite a few blasts from the past here, as well! It looks like my Sailing days are back once again? Thanks to efforts of a helper to get my Mac X going again, I may be sailing the East Coast! Long story, short, I moved out of California because I could NOT retire ...

Re: 26X prop help please.....

Link? I suggest getting the Piranha Prop, they know the correct one for the Mac as it was my boat that they did trials with, sorta Beta tester for them! I have had their prop since 2002, and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend them to anyone! I got a Piranha prop this winter and can't wait to try ...

Re: 26X prop help please.....

I see that Piranha is coming out with a new prop called the Hydro Bite! I called and they said that it is ONLY available for the Higher Horsepower Powerheads, but they are expanding it to smaller engines soon! They say it gets more torque and speed out of this 4 blade model! I will be buying that on...

Re: Longitudinal Bunks: evaluation, please

Stan, I am glad you have found a local company, as your standards are different. I have the Venture Tandem and love it, and put Longitudinal bunks on it! I suggest Aluminum if using around salt water for obvious reasons = Less maintenance!

Good luck!

Re: trailer

The trailer for the 1978 had bunks that ran longitudinal to the trailer, whereas an X's bunks are perpendicular. They may work possibly, but you would not be able to drop the keel, (Handy when working on it!) as in the original configuration. Other than that, try it out as it should work with little...

I saw that pic too! People sometimes don't take that into account when at new launch places. I double check always before moving an inch!

Re: Boat Cover

I use this on my 26X, it lasts for about 8 years now. The cover was about $150 from Overtons... heavy duty, silver on one side black on the other... strong grommets. it has some small holes now, but keeps the majority of the boat out of the weather. Probably will replace this year. I called Overton...

Re: Boat Cover

Tom Agree with all your logic on cleaning and waxing boat. Did you pull trigger on this boat cover? If so are you happy with the cover. I am also considering. Sorry, been traveling, and we did not. The manufacturer did not have a template for an :macx: , only an :macm: So, we may just make one now....
