Pics of Mac 26M without mast (motor Boat)

a friend is considering buying a Mac 26M for use in waterways.

I am looking for pictures of 26M being used as a motor (only) boat.

Without mast or any sailing gear.

How does it looks like ?

Are there any pictures of it ?

Thanks

Jose

Re: Securing a fastner to side of boat above the galley 26X

Hi Gary Those pictures are from my boat... The galley shelfs do not "touch" the side wall. The "miracle" comes from the vertical structures that go down to the bilge area. They are bolted solid to the vertical walls of the galley and bilge. That was done 10 years ago and it's still there. If you wan...

Re: How to check noseweight

Remember to check the limit of the vertical weight (pressure) on the hook of the tow vehicle...

You may have surprises there...

Re: Steering disconnect

Hi I also have the BWY system. I love it... The best thing on that, is that we can lock the engine and it does not tilt freely ... But remember that there is another use. If we need power while sailing we can lower the engine start it and use it on slow speeds (to get out from a failed tack or so......

Re: rattle free 26X center board

Hi Bjorn

I see you are very restless with your mods...

Check mi mod:

Try to reinforce the thing keeping flexibility...

Make the bolt 3" mod...

It's simple and very usefull.

Cheers

Re: Tyre help needed

Hi Mike

Check the possibility of a "articulated" double axle suspension system...

It is a lot more soft to the tongue, more stable and safe.

Hope to see you around here for the spring

Re: Steering failing in F8-9

I don't understand some of the comments about blue water sailing... Bjorn was sailing in protected waters, small waves and high wind... Near from the mouth of one of the largest natural harbors in the world... In mi modest opinion: A Mac is just a sluggish king size 470 (concerning to sailing). If p...

Re: Auto bailer idea

Hi Bjorg What is a "delta fin thing" :?: I cant remember that on your boat... :o I think you also need this... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_s4_mCmXBCc4/SZ4H5U97ZlI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/ItHT-krMgdM/s400/DSCN0123.jpg It is very effective for removing moist  But your auto bailer seems a nice idea. Re: Auto bailer idea

Why not to try make it removable?

Not on the engine but on the stern like your transducer protection system?

At 20 Knts I think that the forces would be huge...

I think also that the device must/can be as small as possible...

Cheers
