Re: Repowering to a larger engine on 2002 X

Hey SENCMac25... or Eric, 1. Take the money for the old one. I sold a 1999 Honda for $1500 and it was in great condition. 2. Throw an "Engine Mounting Sail Event" Several of us (me included) have mounted and run all cabling for new and used engines. And you are close to Victor, Billy and Me. http://...

Re: engel freezer questions

I have the Engle 35 refrigerator ... works off of DC and AC... I removed the handles and the feet. Then I cutout some of the cooler insert to allow it to ventilate and added more fiberglass roving to help support the extra weight. Over the years I have owned it, it doen't generate much heat at all. ...

Re: Cabin Curtain - Blinds

Mounting: I cut the screws provided so that only about 1/16 inch went into the wall (so it would not break thru the hull). I then drilled really small pilot holes. Then used JB Weld Quick (30 min dry time) on the screw ends and where ever the back of the shade top touched the wall. After drying I th...

Re: Boom Rivets... 3 Questions

I used two Stainless Steel bolts, nuts and washers. I bent the bolt in an open U shape and fed it through where the rivets were. Seems to hold up very well with no slop, and for several years so far.

RENAME!! "Sub $600 Autopilot" Progress

Ok, there is no way this is going for $600. I would be looking at $1200. We need to have the Administrator rename this thread to:

A Quiet Autopilot for the Mac

OR

A better AP, no matter what the price.

OR

KnotShore is donating $1200 to AP Mac Fund.

Cabin Curtain - Blinds

Just last year I found out that a beach towel draped over the two windows facing up dramatically decreases the heat in the cabin during the summer, and that my Admiral wanted more privacy in the cabin. Took me a while searching this website and on the web for something that would look good and I wou...

Re: V berth water tank?

OR... you can put your gas tank up front like I did: http://www.enctrader.com/hardtlefamily/KnotShorePics/Bow%20Gas%20Tank%20006.jpg I had similar weight issues in back... (mostly because of the 90hp I put on the back and two 9gal gas tanks) http://www.enctrader.com/hardtlefamily/KnotShorePics/IMG_2...
