Hello all,
After winter in Europe my MacGregor's26X(1999) steering system failed.
I have removed whole "pipe" which connects steering wheel to the rudders and engine and have found that most inner tube (there are three moving tubes one inside another and finaly cord pressed inside to the moving stick. The same method inside steering console, but this side is closed, so no corrosion occurs) is rusted and does not let wheel to move rudders. Even with the hammer in workshop it is difficult to move it! After trying to turn the wheel this inner stick have broken and whole system is not functioning.
Does anyone had similar problem and knows WHERE TO ORDER WHOLE SPARE PART OR MODIFY IT TO MORE PERFECT SOLUTION?
Thanks in advance for any information provided
