I like the cut of the Mac's bow better.

I like the single stripe better. Would consider painting out one of the Mac stripes to make it look like that.

I still like my MacX. I do 6-7 knots most of the time seeing things that others don't at 25 knots.
The Imexus 28 is just a berth for a few and is not a cruiser and high Hp it needs to catch the M or X.
I have been aboard the 26 Poland version and not impressed.
Guess I slowed down to a Gallup and prefer my site of vision to enjoy.
Call me a old fart but I still enjoy a good boat ride.
Better yet, took off the mast for hot summer so I do day trips.
I like my cake and eat it to so I ride with the Seasons.
Trailer Sailor that's, both sides.
Last weekend decided to camp over on the hook and was to late putting up the screen on hatches and than had to spray the screens with Deet as noseams/ mosquitos got thru.
Bummer for a great cruise.
Bad enough of water temps 86 degrees and heating the boat up with air temps 78 degrees thru the night and those nasty bugs.. Like a Humid torcher chamber below with two fans running.
Well we all have to bin and grin and that's the way it goes.
Dave

Hey! We're all old farts at heart - aren't we?
I'm 64 and will get there eventually. :P

Yep, Old Farts never Die Young, they just pass gas to others who haven't a clue were they been.
Actually the old at heart are the Sailors of past and the minders of youngers for future.

Except for the fact both Macs and Imexus are trailerable powersailers....there's no comparison a bit like VW bug is a german car and comparing it to a new toureg or top of the line Merc or BMW.The Imexus I saw was vastly superior to any Mac in finish, general build quality, sturdiness, level of accessories, inboard diesel engine, etc etc.....BUT as Mac owner I realise its 2 to 3 times the price...unaffordable for me soooooo...the Mac is fine ,I own it and LOVE it...aside though the owner said he saw just a shade under 30 KNOTS out of it...which is possibly NOT believable!!!

Gotta love the fact that you can get 'em with a inboard Diesel though :)

My impression is that access is not as convenient as an outboard - although it's more convenient for access, swimming, etc. 8)

Old Salt , Old Fart , and love to go slow . In our nearly a 1,000 mile cruise (and still going) have yet to cruise over 3,000 rpm .
But I do love pulling into a marina and topping off the tanks with 6 gallons of gas ! :macx:

I have been on a couple of them , the finish inside the cabin is nicer they weigh more than twice the mac re the tandem trl so req a much bigger tow beast , & for four times the price u get about 18" longer hull & only about 4" wider inside the cabin Ditto :o :?
prefer much more my :macm: & u can dress up the inside interior of a mac cabin for alot less money & be just as comfortable & cozy

The WOW factor is obvious but not really what I would spend....if you're going to spend that sort of money...buy a keel boat or multihull...I've tried to run that by the other half and yes I can could have a bigger boat BUT i'd be by myself...don't know that I'd want train another wife after 30 odd years this one is just right or so she tells me...wait a minute who's trained

Nice boats, (the two in the middle I mean) not sure what those other two school buses are doing there.

Now I know what Dave and Crikey get mad at me all the time - they are old farts just like me -
