Does anyone have any experience sailing between Newport, Marthas Vineyard, Nantucket? ANy recommendations, tips , anchorages, etc? COnsidering hitting all three locations.

Aslo, visit ne-ts.com. Mostly Macs and a few other trailerables for good measure, they are Boston-area based and make these trips individually and as a group all the time. Join for $10, visit the "Sail Together" section open to members only, and you'll find somebody going to one or the other of these places nearly every week.

Dutch Harbor and Point Judith Pond offer quieter alternatives to Newport if you are trying to get away from it all. Also, consider my favorite destination, Block Island, if you are in the neighborhood. It is more like the Vineyard used to be before it was discovered by the Clintons and the media.
