Re: 2016 Ontario MacGregor Sailors Rendezvous
Thank You to all who made the trip this year
Was great meeting up with you again
We had 5 macs in attendance:
Beene - Geoff
Highlander - John
Dreamer - Rocky
Crikey - Ross and Gabe
Tomfoolery - Tom
Ross and Gabe were kind enough to have us all join them back at their new home on the river.
What a beautiful retirement spot they have there
We sailed, swam, ate, drank, and shared stories of advnetures on our Macs until the wee hours every night.
What a great way to spend a vacation with good people sharing the same passion for life
Looking forward to uploading lots of pics and seeing everyone else's
Planning next year already
Looking at Georgian Bay, Honey Harbor, Beausoleil island, Giants Tomb Island etc

Cheers

I shortened it to eliminate unnecessary footage, and so it fits the music better.

Nice work, Geoff.
And the boat color sequence at the wall is just too coincidental. Aside from alternating hull colors, the canvas sequence is red-green-blue-green-red. The only one out of sorts, of course, is that Damn Yankee at the head of the line, with his single racoon stripe and stubby stick. But you can't have everything, I suppose.

Re: 2016 Ontario MacGregor Sailors Rendezvous
Though full disclosure to those playing along at home - I actually came in 'backwards', because my fenders were already hanging on the starboard side, so I just spun around and docked. We turned my boat around by hand to make a better picture. And being 'backwards' to everyone else is normally Highlander's job.beene wrote:Tomfoolery wrote:Nice work, Geoff.

Me too. And the weather was actually really nice. Some strong winds for some strong sailing. Some light winds for some light sailing (I read several chapters of Captain Horatio Hornblower while sailing DDW to where you guys were that first day), and some nil wind for anchoring and messing about in the warm water (and yes, it was really nice, warm, clear water ). Most of the rain was at night, when it didn't matter. Just that one squall when I first got there. But overall, it was pretty good weather.beene wrote:Very glad you came Tom

I did. That's some clean video. And it's interesting to see the area from above, and at some angle other than what Google Earth gives.beene wrote:Did you check out the drone video yet..
As an aside, what software are you editing with these days? That ain't Windows Moviemaker.
