But don't despair; Bob, I do have a coffee press - (no self respecting Californian would NOT have one) - but again, it's only for my camper or for home use where I have my NRC approved 'Spent Grounds Storage Container' that is picked up by the EPA every week for a nominal fee, (I got good financing).
Use old coffee grounds on your roses. They love it.
Fortunately coffee grounds sink and are environmentally friendly. But they will plug up a sink drain and rinsing the pot at the stern is a bit of a hassle.
Thats why the best coffee makers for when youre going outdoors are portable coffee maker for your car, camping or outdoors activities, 12V coffee makers that you can plug-in to your cars power supply and just use them on the go. I use mine everytime me and my whife go for a hike in the forest, perfect in winter. check some of them here https://coffeforus.com/10-best-portable ... r-camping/
Even though I am now sailing a different sailboat, I still brew my coffee the same way, with my old fashioned metal coffee percolator. The smell of fresh coffee!

Boat,
Since you are posting, I'm going to assume you are still alive and well (I hope so, anyway).
Did you ever get your ballast gauge working?
I haven't had a chance to launch my boat with the lead galley yet. Hoping to test your theory of "immediate capsize" in the next week or two.

the ballast gauge is indeed finished - there is a ballast indicator panel on the pedestal and also one in the overhead of the dinette. more pictures are needed - right now we are preparing 'boat' to go into the shop for the regular outboard engine maintenance. mechanic says it takes about a week because he does not know which wear parts to order until he opens up the bottom unit. Maybe just a normal impeller replace and oil or perhaps a few more bearings too depending on what he sees from our first 350 hours (as you can guess we use the motor hardly ever).
we have been using the anchor a lot more since corona the virus came here so I decided to put an anchor light on the top of the mast. i will post the "mast wiring" details when we are back from the motor shop
the lead galley will just make you go faster on a starboard tack. your galley is only half as heavy as the one in the Highlander and that boat is unsinkable.
