If I have to be wrong, then this is a good topic.
A different challenge is something that was brought up before, towing over the capacity of the vehicle.
I dont’t remember who, it may have been Starscream, but if the max towing capacity is 4,000 lb, then if there is an accident, you may not be covered because you were a weight beyond the vehicles limit.
If the rental truck can tow 4,000 lbs, that means the trailer, the boat, everything on the boat, the outboard and everything in the truck; that includes people. A Mac & the trailer alone is about that. Even though the truck handled it, it does not mean you are safe if there is a problem. Your insurance may not pay up.

Also regarding insurance coverage is that a lot of states require brakes on the trailer if over 3000 lbs gross weight.

Yup it's the 4 door (relatively new - 2018). I'll do a bit more R&D before a long trip. And yes, there is always the rule that you can't sell your Jeep!Todd wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 10:25 pm This really depends on which Wrangler your talking about. If it is a recent model 4 door you could probably make the trip just fine. They have a significantly longer wheelbase than the 2 door. I would still want the boat to be largely empty to keep the way as light as possible. If your talking about a 98TJ like mine they are blast on the beach. I can launch the boat but with it there is no way I would go down any public street with that set up. No matter what you decide there still a rule that you can't sell your Jeep isn't there?![]()

Re: Dimensions of 26M on its Trailer
Does anyone have a similar diagram for the 26X on its trailer? I’m most interested in the following measurements: (A) the distance from the tongue to the end of the mast when down (max length), (B) the height from the highest part of the mast when down to the ground (when the boat is on the trailer, so max height), and (C) the max width when the is on the trailer.
