Traveler, battery & bilge pump placement on a 1985 Mac 25

Post by Seadoc »

I want to install a traveler on my '85 Mac 25. Is there anyone who might share their experience with me as to location and brand of system?

Second, is there a consensus as to best location for the AGM batteries (two...one house and one starter. I have a Suzuki 9.9 HP which weighs about 120 lb.)

Third, suggested bilge pump location and location of overboard discharge.

Thanks.

I know its not the same but i plan to follow something close to what Sumner did here on his pages. Scroll through and see how he did his 26S.

I’m going to be doing a bilge pump on my 25 soon. Without getting too creative, it seems like the only logical place for the pump is next to the keel trunk under the forward seat for the table. For the discharge I plan to go to the transom, probably somewhere above the cockpit drain.
