Happy Winter Solstice 2025 Everybody!

The shortest day on one of the longest years I can think of in the past decade!

I can just Sincerely HOPE that 2026 is a better one for everyone!

And here’s how our canoe club celebrated solstice! A pre-sunrise hike up a local hill to view the rising sun. Actually we take noisemakers to ‘wakeup’ the sun. And wake up the locals dogs.





That morning it was cloudy, so here’s the ‘fake’ sunrise.



And afterwards we were off to a well earned breakie.
I do wish we’d been able to go sailing. Can do that in a few months. Enjoy the holidays everyone.
