Isnt it funny, when the yobos are being a total pain in the neck with their poor behaviour and language thens thats OK, but when you dare to be even marginally annoying and fly over them they get all up in arms.
I find this typical behaviour from what I call the "Entitled" generation, they think they are are entitled to do what ever, when ever they want, but should you dare to even mildly annoy them, well thats a totally different story

Thanks for putting a hex on us Phil, it's 6c here this morning
Drones annoy jetskiers, good to know, soon it will be time for some revenge then

I did get some footage of them being tossers, but decided against putting that in my latest video
Some other video I got with the drone was two idiots on mini bikes tearing up the sand dunes (which are meant to be protected and are an international bird breeding area). I followed them down the beach for a way. They must have thought they were busted. Not sure how they got on the island but I imagine they were the children off some big Gin palace anchored further down near Tipplers which happily puts its kids ashore anywhere with mini bikes...
The South Straddie caretaker/ranger should be supplied a drone by the Gold Coast city council I reckon as thats one hull of a large area to patrol (think he only does one patrol a day)
Yes, its bloody cold again this morning too. I'm wearing jacket!

Only one Jacket Paul??
The days are getting longer here again, its no longer dark at 7.30am and again at 5pm
Spring is on its way, but those damn low pressure fronts keep rolling around, night time temps are up this year because we are clouded over constantly keeping the heat it, but its still wet, cold and miserable
It only gets really cold at night when we have cloudless nights, interesting that the southern states are having one of their coldest, wettest winters on record and the North is having one of its warmest

Its alright Mike. I'v just come in from mowing the lawn, back to shorts and a beergut and not much else
Mike, Do yourself a favour, talk the missus into packing up and moving up to the Goldylocks zone here.

There's plenty of yacht clubs you could Commodore, but you wouldn't have time for all that anyway, because you would be too busy out enjoying the sunshine with your kids and lady, year round
But you do have to put up with sickly expensive Boat rego fees, and a waterways authority that doesnt seem to worry too much about maintenance ( I ran aground 2 weeks ago at about 8pm due to pitch black and no less than three marker lights out in a row!)

You actually have marker lights??
We dont even have them to go out, our channel sticks out into the bay by about 600 meters, we only have a starboard marker for around the first 800 meters, there is mud banks either side so if you miss the entrance you going to be high and dry. All I can say is thank goodness Navionics is pretty accurate or you would never find Warneet 1 marker in the dark.
We cant even get the area between the end of the channel and the boat ramp dredged, after WAFIR this year we had about 10 boats aground when they tried to get from the channel to the ramp, a huge distance of 30 meters. So I know all about lack of maintenance, but the people that wont do the maintenance are building a new marina in Port Phillip Bay, that will be 4 marinas within 10Km, we only have 2 marinas in the all of Westernport and they are both privately owned
We did talk about moving North, at the moment family keeps us down here.

I wouldn't use it TO go boat at night; But it can help While going home should I get caught in the dark

I have a couple of those torches, what we do is spot the mark on the plotter and then call, Starboard mark, 100 meters at 2 oclock" or similar, we then shine the torch to the position called and try and pick up the reflection off the marker the really hard part is there is 3 channels within about 500 meters, (One going into Tooradin, 1 going to Gentle Anne and the Warneet Channel) so picking up the right mark can be a tad fun

Hey I'v got that exact same spoty (yes, I am very cheap too

). Coupla years back at Kingfisher resort we were dried out on the beach and somebody on the jetty kept shining their bloody torch at us which was driving me bonkers, so I put the spoty on the cabin top trained on where they were sitting fishing, and went back below
Not a bad spoty but I reckon I will invest in a nice (and more efficient) cree one next time.

I've taken off with my drone off the 26X several times now and yes even though it is very scarey I have never had a problem. Landing is usually where you almost bite the bullet! I am off this morning to Lake of the woods, Ontario, Canada and I am taking my drone so more practice taking off and landing coming up. Here's my latest with the Mac 26X

Sounds a lot like my leaving and docking experiences.

That's a shame, 'cause it's a good vid. Good music, too.
Oh, it works fine on my iPhone.
