How about Gulf Coast Rigging in Punta Gorda?
But Bluewater Yachts can probably ship one from stock. $66. 1.800.688.8626

Hey Tom, what's a 'furling wire' - I want to look it up on BWY to see what it is - what should I look for?

I was guessing it's the forestay. It's the one wire in the furling system, AFAIK.

If it's a fore stay I wonder what is keeping the mast up?

I wondered that, too. I guess it depends on exactly what broke, or maybe just frayed but not broken.

Geeze, if he is not careful his whole mast could fall down and break.
I think he should do what Judy says and go to that shop that does full rigging, better safe than sunk.

Gulf coast rigging could do the job but they recommended ocean rigging in ft myers.
Great guys
Getting it done today.
Left furling on during transport from toronto to sw florida
Big mistake it broke the furling wire with all the bouncing on the road, I 75 had lots of construction in certain states .rough highways.
Thx for your help
Cheers

Fort Meyers,
been to THAT place. Stayed at a place called Pine Island ? I think it was called? I thought the mosquitoes were gonna eat me alive. I have never seen so many mosquitoes in one place in my entire life! I guess California people are wimps when it comes to bugs and weather

Thats why u should @ the very least tie off a boat hook or broom handle to the bottom of the mast protruding out & tie off the furler to it for support , I also put 4ft swimming pool noodles 2$ each @ the Dollar store on the furler foil to keep it from chaffing on the mast as I always remove my sails jib & genny when trling , but I have the Harken 0 furlers & they r a breeze to install the sails
