1995 Mac 26C Swing Keel - project boat in some ways. Free to a Mac-lover who wants to come take it. (I'll post it on CL for a few $.)

Everything is there. It actually would sail today if you raised the mast and put it on the water. But a number of small things need to be fixed, replaced, rebuilt, etc. (Original wood tiller is sun-damaged, hull needs to be sanded and filled and painted, etc.)

Trailer is the original steel trailer and it is rusting away. Should be roadworthy enough to drive somewhere, but I am making NO guarantees about how far it will go. Bearings are okay - have keepers on them with grease in them still.

I have the sails, they're still in pretty good shape. Furling jib and mainsail. I added extra reefing points to the mainsail so you could reduce sail more in stronger winds. Also have a half-started, small storm staysail I was making from an old hank-on jib. Raised the gooseneck on the mast a little bit to get a few more inches of clearance for a bimini.

I added an aluminum fishing arch to the back instead of a railing you would have to climb over. I really liked having that because it gave you a place to lean when standing on the laz to fish.

Bimini was cheap and is mostly toast now - it didn't work well where I had it mounted anyway.(oh well) Still have the frame if someone wants to work with it.

Has a 9.9 Yamaha four-stroke extra long shaft (26") Frankenmotor on it (roughly 1993) that was put together from a lot of pieces (it's a '61-'62-'63-'64 automobile...) by some guy in a small town nearby. It ran great when I parked it a few years ago, but the lower unit seal had let go and leaked all the oil out on my last outing. I couldn't get it apart at the time, so I never got around to fixing that once I parked it. Motor also needs controls of some kind. The original motor was tiller steering, but that didn't fit in the motorwell properly, so I cut off the tiller part and was in the process of reconfiguring the controls. Great ideas, no time to make them happen.

Before I got the boat, a few places along the deck seam had been damaged in some kind of accident. The damaged areas looked like it had been bumped against a seawall or dock. I did a lot of fiberglass work to correct shoddy workmanship when I first discovered it. I have the pictures of what i did.

I'll gladly share everything I've ever done to it, thought about doing to it, or tried to do with it, including sketches and pictures. Some of them are posted in the forums if you go back far enough.????
