The Heaven Can Wait 'n Marlay Poins O N R
The H.C.W. is on Feb 18/19 next year. I'm probably dreamin' but are any other Macs dreamin' 'bout a 24hr sail on L. Macquarie? I know that Macs don't race - but the sprots boat I crew on is fun, but it isn't where anyone would want to be for 24hrs. The Marlay Point O.N.R. is only three weeks later o...

Re: G'day been away doing other stuff.
Bob, always welcome.
'cept not from now 'till Easter..... flying to Perth for cheap holiday with kids 'n sailing home via Bali.
Apparently the on board attractions on Horizons are no match for a 140 000t cruise liner.
I will admit that the food is better, but it just isn't sailing.

Re: Been away for a while - back on deck again.
Tks, Ray.
Sorry, but nothing we can do 'bout your weather.
We sail year round here.
We tell the season by the wild life. Autumn (your Fall), whales going north, Spring, whales goin' south, Winter, seals 'n penguins and summer........ tourists all over the boat ramp.
C ya.

Re: Been away for a while - back on deck again.
Andrew, I got an email quoting your P.M. to me. Happy to discuss via p.m. but don't want to post negotiated price on the forum. I'm still very happy with my new trailer. Already think a Magnum 8.5 in our trailer park is getting a quote. I can't find your contact details anywhere. Can you post a repl...

Been away for a while - back on deck again.
Hi, All, Getting back into my 26X again, and looking forward to it. My original steel trailer rusted out to the point where I didn't trust it, so Horizons has been sitting in the trailer park. I have still been sailing with B.B.S.C. and Sailability right through. Sailability sail 3mtr Hansa dinghies...

Aus Made Trailers
Hi, All, been a while but I'm still here. Has any one researched having a Mac trailer made in Aluminium in Aus? My genuine unit has failed in the vicinity of the compliance plate on the main draw bar. Rusted through - from the inside out around the pop rivet holes. (No way of hosing inside the draw ...

Hi you all....
Not been on the forum for a while, but things are settling down a bit. Nice to see you are all still here, even you Bob. Do the fish up north know that you are on your way? I've relocated to Batemans Bay where "Horisons" is in mast up storage, so sailing is easy. Last Saturday, penguins, d...

Re: Nisan Pathefinder 2003
I think 2500kg towing capacity.
I don't go far with the boat, it would be thirsty I think.
I particularly like the transmission control being one knob on the dash.
Comfortable to ride in, does the job and not as big as a patrol of landcruiser.
Suits me.

Re: The Mac with no mast.
I met a couple in Batemans Bay a couple of years ago who had left the mast at home. They used the boat as a caravan but took it of the trailer and moored overnight. They might have had a dog. With a boat ramp in most coastal towns they camped for free right in the middle of town and no hastle with p...

Re: Buntline hitch
I use a Buntline to bend halyards to sails. No shackle means that extra bit of lift.
