Re: Antifoul
Ian, I did have a trial with the ultrasonic cleaning method and found it hopeless. It was not a Jaycar unit, so I can not comment on those. We put the ultrasonic sensor at various positions on the boat and received a good signal. However the barnacles kept on growing. In the end after trialling it f...

Re: Gippsland Lakes on June Long Weekend
June is a pretty hectic month for me and will be interstate for most of it, although we'd love to go I am not sure we will make it.

Stan,
You are more than welcome to look at the boat. Do not know the address where we are staying yet, but just look out for "Indigo Blue"

Easter at the Lakes
We have rented a house on the lakes over Easter for 6 days. The whole tribe is coming down, so not sure how much sailing I'll get in, with a son who is not interested, little grand kids, a daughter who gets squeezy on the boat, etc.
BUT I'll try

Re: Boat security 'n mast up storage.
I too have mast up storage at a yard, although very secure. This is not a bad idea, particualr we do have trailer sailers and will be on the road at some times.

I would do a Google search. There are quite a few on line stores in OZ, such as http://www.ledcentral.com.au/

Stui,
The 26M has the same dimensions and quite a few have imported these with no problems.

HI gedwake,
Do a search under Mistral of importing a 2nd hand Mac on this site or on the Australian TSP site and you will find plenty of information.
Alternatively contact Blue Reef Yachts in Brisbane if you want a new one.

Re: 26M trailer specifications for licensing needed
Ian,
Do a search under my name "Mistral" on this site or the AUS TSP site and you will find quite a lot of details on the importing of our "Indigo Blue" 26M some 3 years ago.
Otherwise I can assist you as well, but some others too, like Phillip.

Mac's in Barcelona, Spain
When on a short cruise in Barcelona, Spain, I saw 2 Mac's. One slow white one and a FAST blue one. I took pictures and will post them once I get back to OZ in case the owners recognise their boats.

Hi All,
We are still away in Europe till the beginning of November. I'm sorry, you will have to do without the treasurer.
Brian, I will e-mail you the bank amount separately

Re: Importing a Mac 26M from Canada to Perth
Orac, I used the same broker and shipping agent as Phillip. The broker was great, so was the shipping agent in the USA. it was the shipping agent here in Oz that charged me more than quoted. I also agree that the custom agents here are not the easiest to deal with. i can relate some stories regardin...

Re: Importing a Mac 26M from Canada to Perth
When I imported my Mac 26M the end freight price was 20% more than originally quoted and than the delayed delivery of about 4 weeks.
