Re: How to board your Mac from a Dinghy?
Check out BWY, they sell a small ladder that attaches to the genoa tracks that can slide on and off as you want. They have a longer connection on one side (and its swappable so you can use it port or starboard) so that the ladder hangs vertical. Can't remember the cost but it is reasonable and makes...

Re: Dinghy / Aux Motor advice
The Suzuki 4 HP is a nice motor, I use it to power my 10 foot inflatable walker bay. I bought them both from Blue Water Yachts where I purchased my 26m. It is a very reliable motor and fuel efficient. it is a little underpowered with 4 people and gear in the dinghy, but perfect for 2 plus some gear....

Re: New Owner introduction on Ghost lake Alberta
Hi Andrew, we also sail out of Ghost Lake on our 2008 :macm: named Zig Zag. We are on one of the mooring balls and we try to sail most weekends at least one of the days. We are new to Ghost lake after moving up from Washington State last year. We should get some of the Mac "Ghosties" toget...

Re: Boat insurance in Alberta
We use State Farm insurance. We moved to Calgary last year and went with them because we also used them in Washington State for our 26M, can't recall the cost and no claims so far, but based on the auto policies I assume they will perform well.

Re: Docking the 26M
Blue Water Yacht's sailing demonstration person, Captain Ray taught me a simple method to control the boat when docking. I also use the cockpit for entry and egress. On the docking side (port for my slip) I leave a 25 foot 1/2 inch rope tied to a bow cleat and then attached to the stanchion just at ...

Le Pearl Noir is Found ...
... if it was in fact ever lost. I had just finished giving my 2008 :macm: "Zig Zag" a wash from the last pelican flyover :x and decided to go for a stroll to look at the other boats at my marina in Olympia, WA. Looking across the fairway I noticed a beautiful :macm: with a dark hull, red ...

Re: Supporting the motor whilst towing
I just had my Suzuki 70 twenty hour inspection done by the local Suzuki dealer. His recommendation was to use a piece of 2X4 jammed between the motor and transom connection. He even showed me how to do it - simply lower the motor onto the 2X4 with then power tilt and let it jam in about 1/4" or...
