Re: bimini
I installed the Overton bimini recommended on this forum. It has worked very well and the price was good. I found a discount code on the internet for 20% off that helped with the purchase. The bimini is wide and covers the width of the cockpit. Comes with a cover too. I installed my on slides mounte...

Re: SeaEagle inflatables
I have the 9' sea eagle that I use occasionally. I bought my used for $100 w/ bag, paddles, inflator and inflatable cushions. The boat is surprisingly tough. I am not very good rowing and if there is any wind or current to fight - forget it. Maybe one day I will pick up a trolling motor - maybe. The...

Re: SE MacGregor Get Together in 2010?
I would be interested in this get together. I am south of Atlanta, and have been in your area riding the FATS moutain bike trails. I could not tell from the trails how suited the lake was for sailing, but your comments make it sound promising. I did notice the lake level has been drawn down to winte...

Re: St. Pete the week before X-Mas
Trapeze, Thanks for the response. Ft. Desoto is actually the first place I looked. I read so many nice reviews on this location. I could not determine what options I had for overnighting on the boat. I did not see any marina information. Where does a person leave the boat when staying at Ft. Desoto?...

I thought of dumping in at the at St. Petersburg Municipal Marina and doing day trips from there. Than...

Re: Saint George and Dog Islands
I have sailed this area twice and visited the area countless times. St. George, Dog Island, Appalachacola Bay and Port St Joe are all great places. The Bays can be shallow and anything east of Carrabelle is realy shallow. Carabelle is the jumping off point for people crossing the Gulf to Tampa. We p...

Re: Replacement Trailer
I miss the ladder also. The Admiral was with me last weekend so it was not a big deal but, I single hand the boat quite often and the ladder will make things easier. I have looked at quite a few ladders and ladder options. Can you provide a link to one you mention.
Thanks,
Ron

Thanks,

Re: Replacement Trailer
It is a trailer from the posting on craigslist, they just dont show the gray color. These are liquidation trailers by Karavan being sold through Lanier Marine in Dawsonville, Ga. btw.... They have a 2004 MacGregor trailer on their lot for sale or for parts. Happy Trails, I meant trailering.... Ron :...

Re: Fuel Tank Leaks
I had the same issue with a pair of Tempo, Model LPT12 tanks. I contacted the company for assistance but, have not heard back. I purchased a peice of 12" x 12" x 1/8" inch gasket material from Auto Zone rated for gasoline. The repair was easy, took about 20 miutes to do both tanks. I ...
