Re: new owner - looking for place to keep X
We kept our Mac at Casa Rio in Mayo. It's a quick trip out Cadle Creek to the Rhode & West Rivers and into the bay. The best part of being at Casa Rio is you'll become a part of a pretty good Mac family. And Greg who owns the brokerage out there knows the Macs inside and out.

Re: Need new vent plug + more motor issues
Sounds like you had a great day out there, Jim! Wish we could have joined the Mac crowd out there today, but my Jim (Uncle Jim) is winging his way to LA for the week. We're keeping our fingers crossed for next Sunday to splash our Mac. Maybe we'll see you and/or Pete. Have a good week!

Re: Lake Kerr VA/NC or Lake Gaston VA/NC
Hmmmm! We were planning on spending the weekend in the Chesapeake however this sounds interesting. A bit of drive from the DC area, but worth considering. I found the NC rec area for the lake - is that the only launching area? What else can you tell me about it? Thanks!

Re: Sunday 25 Mac 26X went down. South River
Rick's actually sailing out of the Baltimore area now, however we're still out of the Rhode River. With the weather iffy'ish we opted not to go out - and after seeing that big storm roll through Ashburn Sunday afternoon, I'm glad we didn't. Hopefully we'll be able to get out there this weekend, and ...

Re: Sailing in Virginia
Hi, Jim! It'll be nice having another Mac in the DC Area. Uncle Jim & I live in Ashburn (out by Dulles Airport) and our boat is on the hard - mast up - at Casa Rio Marina in Mayo, MD. It takes us about 1.5 hrs - give or take a little - to drive out there but it is so worth it! We take the Capita...

Re: 26M Blue Hull on a T shirt at Kohls
Add us for 2 more shirts ordered. For those that might need a larger size they do go up to size 4X in the Big Man's shop. The price is $12.99 for the larger size, but still a pretty good deal....

Rick Westlake cruises his 26X out of your marina. He posts regularly here. You might want to try sending him a PM. Congratulations on your "new" 26X! We ("Uncle Jim" & "Sea Dreamer") also sail out of Casa Rio on our 2002 26X. Shoot a PM to either of us if you'd like.

OK - time for the Admiral's side: to begin with, I wasn't white knuckling Jim's arm (I've checked for bruises to be sure) - however there are probably nail gouges in the door handle and I probably squeezed the life out of the seatbelt. :D What I don't remember seeing Jim mention is the trailer was s...

Re: Trailer wiring urgent
Rich: Found an earlier post referring to a wiring website diagram, and that seems to match up to what we have. We don't have a yellow/brown and a green/brown - just solid yellow, solid green and solid brown. Sound right to you? Thanks!

Ditto from Jim & I! We really enjoyed visiting with you - and we certainly learned alot from you both. Thank you so much for sharing with us. We'll be sure to get in touch the next time we head out to Ft. Lewis to see our daughter.

Re: Annapolis Boat Show
Woot!! We'll be there on Sunday. Hope to meet all of you. Oh, and Mike, since you're coming to Annapolis, and we were checking your website for a mast raising system for our 26X (2002), instead of ordering it and you mailing it to us, would it fit in your suitcase? Seriously, if it would be at all p...

Re: Headed for the Chesapeake
We'll be out in the Chesapeake next weekend (hopefully!) - probably staying fairly close to the Rhode/West River - maybe a bit further south, as this will be our first overnighter. If you're up that way, give us a shout!

Rick, Bossa Nova looks good on the water! I think it's the first time I've seen her in the water outside the marina. (Well, ok it is our fault, not yours...confounded wiring project!) We just looked at our schedules and it looks like it'll be Labor Day weekend before we can get any sailing time in. ...

Re: Pulling the trigger!!! :D
Hi! There are several of us in the general DC area - both VA and MD. We're out in Ashburn, with our boat in at marine in Mayo, MD. Takes us about hour and a half to 2 hrs, but is so worth it once we're out on the Chesapeake. The marina we're at - Casa Rio - is home to what could be a whole flotilla ...
