Re: 9.9 hp 4 stroke

I have a Yamaha 9.9 hp on my 2000 26X... It works great and is real quiet. Believe it or not, the high thrust 9.9 hp almost puts the 26X on a plane (without the water ballast). I was sailing today, on Lake Superior (Bayfield,WI. )... With the 9.9: the boat sails very well (Ok, boys, I sail this boa...

Hello folks

On Monday I will be purchasing a 2004 Yamaha 9.9 with less than 20hrs use for 2000$ CAN.

Can anyone please give me a little feed back on this Yamaha OB?

Duane Dunn, Allegro wrote:It actually will push the boat at 6 knots with the ballast in. I changed all my tank fittings so both the main 50hp and the 6hp can connect to any of my four 6gal or the 3gal tanks.
Duane

What is the length of shaft on that 6hp o/b?

Thanks

Re: Stern Rail Motor Mount

so we added a Garhauer Marine hoist . This makes it much easier for my wife and myself to handle the motor as we remove it on all long passages. Tommy :macx: Thanks for that post. Tommy Looks like a good solution. Would you mind telling us a little about the install of the Garhauer Marine hoist. Do...

I enjoyed reading that note Chip :)

Which is better for the Mac?

#1. Replace the original factory axle with a 15" rim 6000# single axle assembly (electric brakes).

#2. Add a second 3500# axle.

Thanks

I like the idear of a roll up inflatable, seems this way you can have an 8' dingy (tender) on the Mac.

The main problem next, is the OB.... We need a safe way to load the OB from the Macs transom to the inflatable's transom with out dropping the OB in the water.

Thanks

Thanks for great photos! Looks like work :)

Did you use your OB much on your Dingy? Or was to much of a problem getting it on and off?
