Re: Need advise on new 150 Genoa
Thank you all for answering. jbousquin: thats very helpful, thanks, and that confirms the number I found somewhere online, the area of that sail is 171 sq. ft , I believe it's for a 135% genoa RussMT: for our custom it doesn't metter where it comes from, they just delay it for whatever reason (may b...

Re: Need advise on new 150 Genoa
Hello everyone! I think there is no reason to create a new thread with my question, so I'll ask for some help here: I urgently need to know the dimensions for the 150 genoa RF (I have CDI) for 26M (2009) (the one that factory claims 206 s.f). Have to order it in local sail loft (I am in Russia). I c...

Re: Stern Seats
Has anyone compared BWY seats to those of KH marine. Are they the same size or BWY are a little bigger?
I know those from Dowsar are bigger, but so is the price

Re: 26M w/ 90 HP
today I was able to do the test run with just two people on board, no ballast and no load, even sails, boom and cushions were taken out to garage for winter storage, although didn't put down the mast yet. The weather was perfect also. So, I was able to make 21.7 knots at 6300-6400rpm WOT. at 5000rpm...

Re: 26M w/ 90 HP
I didn't have a chance to test with just 2 on board, but with 5 or 6(can't even remember) I saw about 6100-6150 may be. No calm sea either. So, considering no re-pitching option for me, I think it was pretty good shot, going for this prop.

Re: 26M w/ 90 HP
Victor, you're right, it a boom with lazy jacks. I put the boat on AP and got up to the mast to make a quick picture from my cell phone. Octaman, I guess it was good timing for me to look at the forum again, I've been busy lately and haven't checked in here for a few months. The prop I use is Solas ...

Re: 26M w/ 90 HP
Octaman, I guess I cAn say this is enough for me. First of all I accepted that fact that :macm: is not as fast as :macx: under the same motor. That is covered in Victor's thread. But the 90hp and 4 blade prop do the trick, it has enough power to pull a crowd http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/706/08...

Re: Picture Contest
Today was one heck of a weather day, and I was suppose to be there but had to change my plans in a hurry. There were 9 tornados simultaneously in the Black Sea near Novorossiysk in Russia. Unfortunately not all of it got on photos and videos, but it's still amazing. I thought I'd share it with you g...

Re: Winch Rant
so happened I have the winch manual handy. It says: manufactured by DUTTON-LAINSON COMPANY, model DLB800A I suppose.
So far works fine, although I have nothing to compare with.
I got it in february of 2009.

Re: New 2010 Suzuki DF90A + 26X = BIG Success!
I think the hole shot is better, but I'd like to retest the 14x13 prop when I get a chance. Last time I used it was last October. Improvements are obvious, RPM is in the factory suggested range. With similar load on 3x14x13 prop I was getting 5200-5500, now it's 6000-6150, mission accomplished ! Now...

Re: New 2010 Suzuki DF90A + 26X = BIG Success!
Didn't hear about transom wedges before, I guess I don't have it. It was installed by a dealer, he didn't suggest anything extra. I finally was able to open the season here, the weather was far from perfect, wind was about 7-9 mph with some waves, By I decided to test anyway. With 4 adults plus baby...

Re: New 2010 Suzuki DF90A + 26X = BIG Success!
Victor,
i was talking about:
Solas RUBEX HR4 9453-135-13 Stainless Steel Boat Propeller with RBX125 hub.
thats 4x13.5x13.
if it acts similar to your experience with 50hp I should be fine, I don't want to lose any rpm due to the 4th blade.

Re: Quick Release Shroud for Forestay: Installation
that would make two of us with the same question. I am also waiting for this item in the mail. For some reason I am not surprised that there is no instruction. I've had this disappointment with Kelly Hanson previously. I've read here about either adjusting the hight of the upper hound, or shortening...

Re: New 2010 Suzuki DF90A + 26X = BIG Success!
well, after inspecting the RBX125 hub some more we decided to modify what we already have, instead of waiting for a new washer, plus, modifying just that washer probably would not be enough. So, we trimmed 2 mm off the rear edge of the prop and 5 mm from the hub itself in order to set the prop perfe...

Re: New 2010 Suzuki DF90A + 26X = BIG Success!
Leon, I have to disappoint you, this engine being rised does not clear the seat in the low position. I have to lift the seat in order to rise the engine all the way up, then I can lower the seat with no problem. That works for me. I can not make any test runs with my new Rubex 4 blade prop yet, I ne...
