In reading the Mac Manual it suggest having the centerboard up when sailing downwind. With that said does anyone use different centerboard positions under different sailing profiles?

Thanks for all the replies. I guess what I should be asking after reading them is how does everyone ensure the gelcoat color is matched. If I purchase an ordinary gelcoat repair will the white color that is included be a match for the Macgregor white?

Thanks for the links. I have seen those boats but I am a little uneducated in what to look for in a boat. Is a survey necessary? I'm kind of hesitant to just jump into a boat as I don't want to end up having fix a boat that I buy.
