Is there a source for Sail Patterns for Mac 25's?
I want a reefable sail for my Mac 25. I don't want to shell out the bucks for a new one, but more importantly I want to learn how to make sails. I could use the basic measurements on my current main, and for a smaller jib I could guess at a scale down measurement but I would like to know how to make...

Picture of Mac25 with keel deployed.
This is kind of a test to see if I can post a picture in this forum. A couple of weeks ago the Admiral, me, and a buddy of ours took our M25 out of Kings Harbor. The winds were very calm and water was flat and glassy. We pretty much motored out till we were over Redondo Canyon. Since we had an exper...

Re: My first Mac.25
Kenny, I will be at the Marina Del Rey Boat launch starting around 9:30. I pulled a bolt through my cabin stepping my mast. CAGuy (an experienced Mac 25 owner with a really tricked out M25) happened by and he might be around tomorrow. I will probably be done with my repair and launch around 12:00 to...

Re: 1st time out on my Mc 25, took on water.
After some personal challenges we finally got her back in the water. Before dropping her in at Kings Harbor I checked the keel cable hose fitting and it was loose. I tightened it and that did the trick. We rigged her up and by the time we slipped out of the harbor the fog was too thick to continue s...

Re: 1st time out on my Mc 25, took on water.
I scooped most of the water into a bucket and emptied the bucket into the cockpit which then flowed out the drain, but I will check that as well.

Re: 1st time out on my Mc 25, took on water.
Thanks for the help. I will check the keel cable hose, and the keel lock down bolt (I did not use it, or even know where it is). I will look for evidence of seepage at the lower rudder bracket. I did not heel the boat over, and the water was pretty calm so I don't think I took water from the windows...

1st time out on my Mc 25, took on water.
First of all I want to thank fellow Mac 25 owner John Jessie for helping me rig my boat, and do my first ramp launch. The MacGregor community rocks! I took the family out on the Bay in Long Beach CA. On the way out I took a look in the battery compartment, and under the port bin and it was dry as a ...

Just bought a 1985 Mac 25'
I have not had her in the water yet. Today I pulled my boat around the corner to step the mast without any power lines nearby. I could not figure out how to use the winch and did not want to screw anything up. Is there a video or something that shows how to use a winch to step a mast? I know I'm alm...
