During our test sail we functioned quite well as a team. The boat will be out of the Newport Beach area in a mast up storage from now on. I will sail with the buyer( Chris) and my two kids fre...

Re: Gonna try to sell my Mac
Thanks Glen , Gazmn , Boblee , Catigale and Russ. I know this is true Catigale , about the kids. Luckily I am able to slip into the house many times during the day for 10-20 minutes at a time and lately have been redispatching calls to my other drivers unless it's a really good trip for the two hour...

Gonna try to sell my Mac
I'll go into more detail later but because I work too much I think I will try and sell my Mac. I love the boat but work @ 95 hours in 5 days and field 20-50 calls each weekend.I'm planning on expanding my businesses greatly over the next coming years. I'm usually drained by Sat. morning. My family i...

Re: Thinking of slipping Mac without bottom paint
Pokerrick: On the submarine my first year aboard I washed dishes 19 hours a day 7 days a week- most of the time when underwater. In port was 5 days a week 12 hours a day (A much lower percentage of my total days). It was called "cranking". I cranked for 365 days, possibly a record. As I st...

Re: Thinking of slipping Mac without bottom paint
Irafatsar: I may slip mine in Mission Bay as well if there are any slips left after you slip yours. Would you P.M. me or call me after you slip yours ? Mission Bay could work for me this summer. I like the idea of the weekly bottom cleaning assuming the slip is reasonably priced. Thanks -Curtis

Re: Thinking of slipping Mac without bottom paint
To Theo and Chinook: Does the steel wool and putty knife dull the shiny gelcoat? I would be afraid to take metal to the gelcoat. Thanks so far for the terrific responses guys- This will help me formulate a game plan. I think my biggest worry is the speed loss with the bottom paint and the inability ...

Re: Thinking of slipping Mac without bottom paint
Yeah I can see that- No leverage! How do the guys do it (divers) at the local Marinas? Do they use diving fins to increase their leverage? They charge about $50 and it is done on most boats around here every two to three months but that is for boats with bottom paint.
