Re: Roller furler "Memory"

I store mine in the winter strapped to the ceiling in my garage. There is a slight bend to it in the spring but when I rig Mental Floss it straightens out just fine.

Re: Bilge Pumps

The trip down to Taku Harbor is a nice overnight. Good T pier to moor up to. Another real nice overnight is Oliver's Inlet. Go in at slack water and work your way to the back of the inlet. You can usually ride the hook at the back of the Inlet and have the entire place to yourself. I get the condens...

Re: vHF connector at mast corrosion

I have the same set up and haven't had any corrosion or wire breakdown issues. I purchased from West Marine the Shakespeare RG59 connectors (WM # 1196591), the coaxial comes thru the deck using the Blue Seas clamclam thru deck fitting (WM# 540732. I also give my boat a good fresh water wash down aft...

Re: Radio antenna wire down mast

I have the 26X so no foam in the mast. I did this last year and mounted my VHF-FM at the top of the mast. I didn't run the coaxial thru any pipe and I don't suffer from any "slap" of the wire inside the mast. Either that or all my u/w time with the USCG made me ignore such sounds....

Re: One Sail to Buy...Which One?

Terry http://www.kellyhansonsails.com/apps/webstore/products/category/174954?page=1 I ordered the C2000 Cruising Spinnaker. It's just like the picture for color. The sail has just the edges stitched with panels glued. I also ordered the stuffing stock for the sail. So far I've not had a problem with...

Re: One Sail to Buy...Which One?

YukonBob - sounds good. I've wondered what the sailing was like in the Skagway area. We thought about running up from Juneau but I am a bit concerned about the run up Lynn Canal if the winds pick up.

Re: One Sail to Buy...Which One?

I have a 2002 26X. She had been used for one season and then sat unused in the front yard of the original owner for 6 years due to his health problems. The original sails were folded in the sail bags and as good as new. I sailed the first season with the original hanked on jib and bolt rope mainsail...
