Re: top speed Honda 50Hp
I didn't buy a Mac to go fast . I bought it because it carries enough motor to get out of the way of a storm and it has an alternator . I can cruise at hull speed and get close to 10mpg or sail and ride for free . Which beats my previous boat , a 22' Bayliner cabin cruiser that got 3 mpg at hull spe...

Re: top speed Honda 50Hp
2000 26X with bottom paint , loaded with gear and water.
Honda 50 engine with standard prop
All sailing gear and full ballast
two people on board
We get about 10mph .
I tried a high speed run just the other day , same as last year , about 10mph max.

Little Dog ladder out of the cabin
Has anybody come up with something for a very little dog to be able to exit the cabin of a 26X on his own ? The Admiral has gotten a Japanese Yorkie puppy . He only weighs about a 1lb , but even when He is full grown , I doubt He will be able to get up and down the ladder on his own . She plans to b...

Can I jack the stern high enough off the trailer to be able to drop the center board down enough to see the control line ?

New Line To The Keel Board
We need to replace the line that controls the Keel . We have the swing keel type . On my 2000 26X The crossmember of the trailer prevents it from dropping down , out of the boat . Should I jack up and block the stern above the trailer ? Or should I raise the bow up ? The line ties to the Keel board ...

Re: A few questions for you guys
Has anyone suggested stowing the surfboards in the stern berth ? Stack them up on one side and you still can sleep somebody on the other . One or two in the bow berth One in the stern berth two in the stern seats , a tarp tent over the boom for bad weather. So thats sleeping for 4 people , at least ...

Re: Source for Mastlight 2-pin Connector?
I recieved mine from West Marine , just a few days ago . It is both the male and female . The female being the deck mounted recptacle . It is exactly the same part , and fits perfectly . As was discussed here , awhile back , I mounted a white anchor light on top of the mast and plan to plug it into ...

Re: Meals on your mac !!
We also have a small crockpot , that runs thru the inverter . We have cooked stews and such in it , while the motor is running . But our main cooking device is the Magma Grill . I have cooked many a full course meal on our grill . One of our best meals was at Steinhatchee River's Sea Hag Marina , wh...

Re: Scammer wants to buy my Mac26X
Back when I had my SJ21 for sale, I got several "offers". The best one was from someone in TX, who was going to buy the boat for his son in NY. I was suppose to get a check from a "business associate" from CA who owed him money from a business deal. :? I told him I'd be happy TO...

Re: Meals on your mac !!
We do most of our cooking over our Magma CHARCOAL Grill ! No stinking gas for us ! :D I bought the grill , over 20 years ago . It has been aboard all of our 8) boats . I think on our various baots we have used about every kind of mount Magma makes . In 2002 I bought new grills , knob , and fabric co...

Re: Scammer wants to buy my Mac26X
When I was selling my Bayliner , and advertised it nationally . I was constantly getting these so called Brokerages that would sell the boat for me , for an upfront fee of a few hundred Dollars . Everyone of them guaranteed they would sell the boat for the amount I wanted and within a certain time f...
