Re: Miami to Bimini--Advice/tips???
I don't have any experience like that, but love living vicariously through all you great adventurers, so please let us all know all about your journeys! There have been lots of discussions about this on here. Sumner has great journals and descriptions of his travels. Good luck and keep us all inform...

Re: 26X Inside cushions help............
Our memory foam was a little short at the bow end, really not a problem. I made a new seat back that fits the profile of the opening on the port side, put holes in and reinforced the face of the V berth to put the seat back pipes. On the "back" side of the seat back I placed a sliding door...

Re: 26X Inside cushions help............
We also added 2" "memory foam" cut to shape for the "V" berth. Spent 7 days on Norris Lake TN. last July and, while it wasn't home, it was not bad at all. I did build an extension for the port side to bring the bed 'deck' even with the forward starboard settee seat. A nice l...

Re: Bottom paint question
Seahouse, I'm really hoping to avoid both the work and cost of that :P Brian, I think I'll try the touch-up and put new anti-foul over the black. Have to assume(we all know what that does) that the black is hard anti-fouling, will prep and touch that up before putting a different color anti-foul ove...

Re: Bottom paint question
The black paint has not faded, it appears to be good except where hit seems to have chipped on the bottom, was hoping to just touch-up the bad spots. I'm just not sure what it is. After that's figured out new anti-foul would be in order.

Bottom paint question
Hi all, The anti-fouling paint that was on the boath when purchased has almost completely worn off leaving behind a black paint that does not appear to be anti-fouling, but has chipped on the bottom near the transom. I'm thinking of repainting but am being told that the black paint must be anti-foul...

My 2000x is in the water at Forest City Yacht Club in Cleveland . Where are you located? I've done some work on mine, no expert, but maybe we could look yours over together. Good luck,

Re: Lake Erie - Need Help
Looks like Ivan has you covered pretty well. Talking with some of the guys at the club tonight, the islands are where you want to go, but you might want to look into Vermillion, Huron and Port Clinton while you're up here. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

I've not done the Erie Islands yet myself, but that's where you want to go. A lot of people from our club go there. I can get specifics for you if you want. Let me know.

Re: Dropping the centreboard
I dropped mine last year to repair some cracks in the board. As I recall, undid the retaining nut and it dropped out, the cross member of the trailer caught the back end, but only had to slide it forward, untie the knot, that was it. Put something under the board on the ground to keep it from hittin...

"Surprise" at Norris Lake TN
Saw you at your dock while we were staying at a rental house in Sept.
Very pretty lake, how is the sailing there? My brother-in-law loves the lake, but has a power boat, just wondering if trailering there would be worth while.
Hope you're on this site.

Re: Florida Spring 2011 Trip.....
Sumner,
I'm sure it's a lot work to transcribe your trip, but there are a lot of us 'living the dream' through you and Ruth. Please keep us all in the loop. Hopefully someday your inf. will help us if we get to try some of your adventures.
Fair winds,
Briggs

Re: Urgent X dimension needed ASAP
I measured 81 3/4" across the top and 69 3/4" at the bottom in the dark alone not sure what it is in the light with company. Mine is a 2000 by-the-way. Hope that helps.
