Re: Tattoo Yachts
A shower is an interesting thing that is in my opinion essential, but also a huge waste of space for something that is used for only 10 minutes a day or every other day. The shower should be treated like one of your tools; something you pull out when you need it and put away when not in use. The on...

Re: Tattoo Yachts
I'm in the line for a slightly bigger Tattoo/Mac. I can also see where it will never happen - the manufacturing efficiency is for a 26 and 22 foot model. If a 30 (approx.) version is produced, Tattoo is faced with selling those and the new owners putting their older Mac's on the market - which they...

Re: Tattoo Yachts
Just in case Laura is still following this thread, let me add my name to the list of people who would definitely buy an even larger version of a trailerable MacGregor powersailor. Even 28 feet would add a lot of interior size and 30 or more would be nirvana. I understand the concerns about the beam...

Re: Tattoo Yachts
Any chance of designing a 30 foot version for extended cruising/ or nomadic livea-boad purposes? I used to live aboard my 26x many years ago and would love have a 30 foot version. I was thinking something along the lines of crossing a Mac26M with a Hobie 33. If you built one it would save me the tro...

Re: Mac 26M Yawl conversion--any reason not to?
I was about to ask the same question. :D What I want to know is - how are you going to get the mizzenmast out behind the rudders on a 26M? That's what defines a yawl. :? Or did you mean a ketch conversion? :P (Oh, never mind. I want to see what Highlander would do. Incidentally, I want to see him st...

Suwannee River
Has anyone ever taken their 26X or 26M up the Suwannee river from the Gulf of Mexico? If so, what was the farthest anyone ever reached? I am wondering if it is possible to go past I75 in Florida. Is anyone up to the challenge to find out?
