Tangentair mentioned that perhaps real wood wouldn't be stable enough material when I mentioned replacing the trim around the windows. Does this caution pertain to the windows only or for anywhere on the boat.

Has anyone tried to remove the trim around the windows. I would like to replace it someday with real wood trim and was wondering how to remove it.

We purchased our 05 M from Ghost Lake Rec. just outside of Calgary and can't say enough about the dealer.

This was our 1st boat and they did everything that we could hope for.

We use the rear berth and find it comfortable after inproving the foam. I believe the rear berth of an M is larger than on an X.

On our 05 M we installed the same setup as Tom Nine (Apr 1/05) shows in the mods section under head. We placed a 13 gal holding tank, y valve & macerator pump under the front settee. We also have a deck pumpout to use at the marina. The fresh water for the toilet is pumped directly from the lake...

I appreciate that Jack goes to the trouble of sharing his work and ideas with us.
I think Jacks a top notch guy, and the same can be said for his work.

A timely question as I just purchased a mast hound from WM for the purpose of using the chutescroop on my 05 26M.

I've always noticed that in the Mac advertising a second hound was installed above the forestay hound.

I'm suprized to here that maybe my 05 M isn't the prettiest boat in the marina. I've always thought it was, and thought that everyone else did too. Uh, all be darn.

Whats with the buckets and bags. What would I do with this crap on a 2 or 3 day cruise? I doubt if any one would go cruising with me. At least with a holding tank I can get it sucked out at the next marina or when needed. Our lakes in Saskatchewan our so pristine that you wouldn,t think of dumping a...

Thanks for the information. My thoughts on the thru-hull were the same as yours but just wanted confirmation.
I'm hoping that I never have to use the thru-hull pump out but wanted the option.

thru-hull location

I will be installing a holding tank, y valve, macerator pump, deck pump out and 1" thru-hull on my 05 M. I am not certain as to where the thru-hull should be located. Some info recommends 5" to 6"above the water line and other articles have recomended below the water line. Would appre...
