Sanding Boat Bottom

I discovered the best way to sand the boat bottom is to wet sand it. There
is no need for masks, etc. I use the screen type sanding sheets which are
designed for sanding drywall. See my article on bottom painting in Featured Articles on this web site.

:macx: By all means, apply barrier coats as well as anti fouling coats.

Sail Caddy

In answer to Duane Dunns 12/08 message: the Sail Caddy (Cradle) I
made is folded against the boom as the sail ties are applied and the sail cover goes over the whole works. I expect to have photos of this to send later.

I designed and built my own. Look at pictures on Sail Caddy web site, then look at my Mod on the Mod Page ( MacGregor) under Category Sailing - Sail Cradle (Caddy). Mine has worked OK for two years. I have subsequently modified Part B pieces by re-inforcing the lower end by laminating another layer ...
