Regarding location of sail slugs on jackline:
I submiited a modification (drawings) to the Mac Mods page in Sept. 2003.
It is in two parts in the Rigging Category.
I discovered the best way to sand the boat bottom is to wet sand it. There
is no need for masks, etc. I use the screen type sanding sheets which are
designed for sanding drywall. See my article on bottom painting in Featured Articles on this web site.
By all means, apply barrier coats as well as anti fouling coats.

In answer to Duane Dunns 12/08 message: the Sail Caddy (Cradle) I
made is folded against the boom as the sail ties are applied and the sail cover goes over the whole works. I expect to have photos of this to send later.
