I have the same problem on my old 97 26X. I removed the brakes years ago and the bumping is annoying.
My coupler looks nothing like the one above. Is there a way to lock the old style coupler out from sliding and bumping?
Thanks.

Missouri City hwy 6. I haven't decided on the where yet. Likely clear lake, but that's this nice thing about trailering is that you can vary locations a bit. Sure was a hot couple days for me to take the sails off and drop the mast. hard to believe some folks can do all that in just a few minutes. T...

Re: Hi guys, checking back in after a few years. 2 questions
I had listed the boat for sale for a while last year. A guy came by interested and as I explained all the stuff on the boat I realized I wasn't ready to part with it yet. Then as the guy was getting off the boat, he used the VHF antenna as a hand hold and snapped it off. No way was I going to sell m...

Re: Hi guys, checking back in after a few years. 2 questions
Thanks, Yes I am in SW Houston. Found a real nice storage yard with a high roof and open ends about 15 minutes from home. Lots of other sailboats there , including a Macgregor M sitting in the front. A small traditional sailboat is backed up to my spot. I will pretty much have to remove my mast I th...

Re: Hi guys, checking back in after a few years. 2 questions
Thanks Ron. I suspect you are right. it was just tempting to have the boat stored near my house. Usually it is an hour or 2 drive away, which limits how much time and energy i have left to do anything on it. if anyone has their boat on a trailer and can grab an overall length measurement with the mo...

Hi guys, checking back in after a few years. 2 questions.
I have been neglecting my 97 26X for a couple years and am thinking to store it on the trailer in a storage facility that has 28 ft long X 10 ft wide storage units near the house so I can catch up on repair projects for a year. 1) Will the 26x with 50 hp tohatsu fit in a 28ft unit? (I know the mast ...

Re: How do I list my '97X for sale?
Yup, I kept the boat at Goodluck point. I hope the marina is still there. Did you mean just the bar got leveled or the marina as well? If I could sneak down to the boat on a weekday it was pretty peaceful, but the weekends were pretty busy. There wee a couple of nice restaurants on Forked River as I...

Re: How do I list my '97X for sale?
Thank you, I will give it a try when I get back from work this evening. Yes, they are all me. I never have been good at keeping usernames and passwords and it seems tht every aspect of life these days requires one. Yes, I had put the boat up for sale briefly a couple years ago, but still was on the ...

How do I list my '97X for sale?
Hi, it has been a while since I have been on this site and when I click on Classifieds, it only lists what is for sale. I don't find any button that lets me create a new for sale listing. Thank you.
Craig.
