10 years ago, I went to BEER cruise, largely based on Hart's reply to my inquiry on this Forum. I'm sure glad I went. See ya there in a month!!!!

Re: VHF radio antenna
Hey, besides the physical breakdown of the antenna, here's a cheap SWR meter that you could get to test reflected power. I try to keep my antennas at an SWR of 1.5 :1 or less, but 2:1 is often considered acceptable. You may even try the Orlando Ham fest, known as the "Hamcation" to find a ...

Re: 26 Classic: Forward Stay Pin Snaps Under Load...
Glad that it wasn't a catastrophe, sounds like you handled the situation well. Been thinking about putting one of those pins in the forestay, but I guess I'll just stick with the nut and bolt method :D Now that I think about it, I think I'll freshen up the ole roller furler control line though! Re: Sagging Boom
When hoisting the main, I often forget to loosen the main sheet, which does not allow the main to go all the way up. It results in an effect similar to what is described here. Be sure to have lots of slack in the main sheet and be pointed into the wind when hoisting the main up. If it can be figured...

Re: Mac 26 Missing from SAIL Magazine article on Pocket Crui
Actually the MAC26 was mentioned in the article as "too big to trailer" by one of the boat owners. I guess my 6 cylinder Xterra performs some kind of miracle on all those trips we go on.

Re: Biminis
I have a '92 Mac s and have no problem sailing with the bimini in the up position. I do have a topping lift, but only one setting for it.
While I do have to lean over to get into the cockpit with the bimini up, I would not do without it. Bimini is worth its weight in gold.
Good Luck,
dave

Re: Time for repower....maybe
Hmm are you running fuel with ethanol? Probably a controversial subject, but it does attract a lot of water.
