Re: M mast cost??
Back in March 2006 Rich Boren and I went to the Costa Mesa factory and purchased a new mast and related components for our 2004 26M. Here are the invoice details at that time: Mast (Drilled & Spread) $ 480.00 Mast Hinge-Mast Base Plate 51.00 Mast Hinge-Mast Bottom Cap 36.00 Spreader Bar with Tip...

I have tried both berths and various configurations. For me... such as Kelly noted.. I now prefer the starboard side of the vee birth with my feet at the bow. Right now my biggest concern is making the aforementioned lay down area more comfortable. I'm going to try a mattress topper hoping that will...

>I got the boom tent from one of the ads< I did as well... from that vendor in Colorado. Just haven't used mine yet... but know I will have to... what with our early morning Oxnard drizzles. Wow... glad to see your Mac up and about and looking pretty sharp I might add. Are you keeping it docked now....

>I’m a bit nervous.< Yes Leon... I would be also... and understandably so..! Then again you know your Mac quite well by now... relative to it's blue water capabilities much less shortcomings... and that area up there that is your sailing environment. The only thing I took exception to... was your cr...

...>gets replaced this month with a new 4-ton hoist.< Hmmm... it's about time. Zuma and Steve... As soon as I get over to Oxnard (hopefully next week) I will be moving my Mac over to the Anacapa Isle Marina. But for awhile... I will be using my slot at CIL to store the trailer. Since I am retired an...

>I am a lazy bas _ _ _ _! Before I got my wet slip...< Hey Rick (pokerrick1) I'm thinking of going the same route. I like the idea of escaping from the High Desert (particularly during the summer) on a Monday and staying aboard and sailing my Mac during the week then returning Friday to see if my ho...

>....your boat is back on the trailer!< Tnx Steve... as always... for the update..! How timely... I tried to get ahold of Herb about an hour ago to find out what the boat's status was... but he was out. Guess I will phone Sunshine Boat Cleaning and get them out there to square things away... cleanin...

>They have a Pettibone crane coming...< Thanks Steve for the info. I emailed you about a week ago bringing you up to speed about the lift and change of personnel. I hope Herb doesn't have my boat pulled out before I have it's lower hull scraped and cleaned. I better give him a phone call... >Hire a ...

>With the rudders and daggerboard down...< Hey Rick... (aka pokerrick1) I was wondering at what depth/length you maintained the dagger board for docking purposes. Needless to say we are dealing with extremely slow speeds if not ultimately a drift in status... so I considered the dagger board setting...

Hey Steve... I won't be coming down until this coming Sunday but will be staying until Thursday. I believe Rich will be in the area as well... during the aforementioned time frame. Bobby... I suspect the problem with the marina at this point in time is me. My docked Mac is *fully* ballasted and unti...

>saw your Mac still tied up at the landing...< Wow... that means it has been sitting there for a week now..! Since my boat still has the water ballast in it... and if their crane is not yet totally operational... they are probably not going to pull it out. Hmmm... me thinks I better give the yard ma...

Thanks Steve for the update about our mutual storage marina in Oxnard. My Mac has been sitting there (docked) since last Thursday morning! I suspect that until such time the weight limitation is lifted it will be there until the crane is repaired. Cause... it definitely has a full load of water ball...

No watch. Six years ago when I retired... a friend of mine asked for my cheap little Timex that I was wearing while we were enjoying a couple of cold ones. He then threw it in the lake that was next to us... stating that I didn't need that thing any more..! For so many years I had to account for my ...

Here's another good reason to empty before you take the boat out of the water. You have to do this if you are using a sling launch. Hey Duane... For whatever reason... The guys that do our sling extractions... Insist that we maintain our water ballast until such time the mac is safely rest- ing on ...
