My daggerboard is damaged, possibly beyond repair. Can anyone tell me the best place to order a new one?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply with photo. It looks like that works well. I'm going to give it try.

CT/NY Mac Owners
Are any of you from CT? I sail my 26M on Long Island sound out of Milford CT. It would be nice to meet up with some other local Mac owners sometime.

Looking for Swim Ladder 26M
Can anyone recommend a good swim ladder. I'm looking for something that would hang over the gunwale so we can climb into the cockpit from the side of the boat. My older, heavier, and less agile guests who would like to go swimming are not able to climb the tiny transom ladder and squeeze past the 50...

Re: Need picture of Nicro vent above head
I'm considering the front hatch as the installation location for mine. It's close enough to the head (I hope), and this way I won't be putting any permanent holes in my boat. (the hatch cover I can be easily replace at a reasonable cost if needed).

50hp Suzuki on 26M...cruising RPM
I have a Suzuki DF50 on my 26M. With 4 adults and 1 child my top speed (GPS ground speed) is about 10 knotts at 6000 RPM (some wind and current). It would can still reach red-line of 6500 RPM with this load. Top speed with 2 adults and full ballast seems to be about 14.5 knots at 6,200 RPM. Is this ...

Re: Docking for a Beginner please help
Thanks for all the suggestions. Had the boat out yesterday and did well docking it at a few different locations with some wind. Made good use of my boat hook to grab the dock cleat, and kept all fins down, ballast full. Just ordered the landing loop (www.landingloop.com). It looks like it may be hel...

Re: 26M to cross Indian Ocean without assistance
Very true. You wouldn't call the Ford or Honda factory for parts or service on your car.....you go the dealer who then deals with a factory rep as required. The factory is loyal to dealers who buy lots of boats from them and the dealers are loyal to customers who spend money with them, like buying a...

Docking for a Beginner please help
I've owned my 2007 26M for 2 seasons. It has the 50hp suzuki. My sailing skills are coming along and I really love it. Opportunities to learn more and experiment add to my excitement. Operating in close quarters ie. the harbor is where I am lacking. I've had several close calls and as a result I usu...

Re: Hull blistering 26M
Thanks for the info. I feel much better about this now. I was pretty stressed since this is a new boat and I want to keep it up properly. I'll try your technique when I pull her out in the fall. (My hull does have the "football" look like yours though not nearly as many yet.) Thanks again.

Re: Thinking of slipping Mac without bottom paint
You may wish to read some of the posts on gel coat blistering. The hull on my 07 26M is blistering after only 1 season in a slip. From what I've read so far an epoxy barrier coat with a top coat of ablative bottom paint seems like it may be the best way to go.

Hull blistering 26M
My 2007 26M spent it's first season in the salt water last summer. A boat yard applied a single season ablative and did not recommend epoxy barrier coat pre-season. This season I re-coated the bottom myself w a multi-season ablative. I noticed quite a few blisters in the bottom of the hull, especial...
