Re: EZ cleats

A friend just bought a 2002 26X Saturday. He's moving up from a 26S - in spite of having sailed with me. :P Are EZ Cleats still available? Are Bill's EZ cleats still available somewhere? I go to the Kelly Hanson site and it says they are no longer taking orders. What is being used as a replacement? ...

Re: Bottom Paint Questions

Nice points 8) I talked to the manufacter and technical departmen of PETTIT this morning, and they recomended the procedure that I mentioned. They never said anything about an epoxy barrier. What does that do? Are both of you, (Mastreb and Yukonbob), talking about using PETTIT product or Interlux pr...

Re: My Macgregor Journey

You have a great boat. The Macgregor 25 was "Sailboat of the Year" in 1975 8) Hi, my name is Mike. I just got a 87 Macgregor 25. It's in rough shape, but not so bad it can't have new life put back in her sails. I'm coming on her in hopes to speak to others that have/had a Macgregor. I'm no...

Re: Battery drained

So option 3 might be midnight boat parts supply? :)
NiceAft wrote: Tue Jul 09, 2024 12:16 pm Do you see the difference between the two?

Not $750, but rather $422. Maybe better if you shop around.

$208. Obviously the better deal.

The second one is what has been in my Mac for twenty years.

Re: Wind speed

It was an add-on from Judy B. Son loved it, and it makes us much easier to spot on the water from all the plain white sails. 8)

Very nice! Is that something you iron on, or how do you get it to stick on your sail?

Re: Battery drained

I charge mine in the "All" position, then select "A" or "B" when saiiling. 8) Interesting. I landed on turning it off based on comments online that said it should charge the batteries in any position. Maybe I misunderstood that. If so, maybe there’s a chance that my bat...

Re: Battery drained

Ditto 8) Speaking of jump starting. I keep one of these on the boat just in case. https://www.amazon.com/BIUBLE-Battery-Starter-12800mAh-Charge/dp/B08GYFP5JK Our little outboards will jump start with much less. I used this thing to jump start my truck when it was 5 degrees outside. I was amazed. Ple...

Not on the boat - on the dock where the shore cable plugs in to the power source. 8)

Re: Battery drained

Nice point. The shore power connections here have an on/off switch on the panel. Are you sure that when you connected to shore power, there was power? There may be a breaker switch on the panel where the socket is? If there is, make certain that the switch is in the position for power to flow.
