Re: Prodigal returns - and other stuff
So this? :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXlUS5-ag_g&t=1s So, if I remember correctly, there is a "classified" section on the main website, and I'll be posting it there. I miss the fun times on here, but I also can't restructure my life back to where it was when I was last investing...

Re: 26x Calm wind sailing technique survey.
Ok, with light winds, you want to think some things through. You probably will want both main and jib/genoa. Are you single-handing or will there be 2 or more? If you are single handing, then use a bungee cord to hold your wheel and be sure to be wearing a PFD. You want to get away from everyone. Yo...

Re: Got in some trouble in rough seas.. What'd i do?
Your outboard HP? We got caught in Captiva Pass by a storm . At first I tried to maintain my south heading , the storm was coming from the east , but the sustained winds were about to capsize us , I then tried to turn into the wind , but it was impossible to hold her directly in the wind . I finally...

Re: Anyone else having problems getting it up?
Sometimes I too have trouble getting it up (the mainsail, of course). I noticed that the lines at the top of the mail occasionally cross. I have to lower it a few feet, make sure the lines aren't crossed over, and raise it again.

Re: YouTube channel delete
Awww.... :| Ive decided to delete my YouTube channel because the platform seems to be getting less and less usable. I’ll be trying the Rumble video site for now. The only reason I’m mentioning this here is I haven’t and won’t be archiving or saving anything on the YouTube channel, so if there is any...

Re: BOTTOM PAINT OPINION
You can never k now what the future holds, and perception can affect your (and others) enjoyment. If it were me, and the situation allowed, I do it properly. Yes, it's a little more work.

Re: What constitutes a Bahamas Weather Window?
Not gonna lie, I'm a bit envious. 8) The idea would be to cruise at 6kn or so, and get the jib up to motorsail if possible. I doubt conditions will allow us to run WOT or even close to it. OtOH if we get dead calm conditions we're going full throttle the whole way across the Gulfstream and will do t...
