Don't mean to change the subject but, when you beach a Mac as in the picture above, do you have to have an anchor off the stern to keep the waves from putting the boat higher on the beach as the tide comes back in? Can you back out if the wind is blowing in to shore? Or is wind blowing out the key T...

I still have the bracket it looks to be in good condition. I just got a centerboard and upper mounting bracket from BWY, costs were the same as above.

I have been reviewing the ideas on this board on how to install it and will let you know my out come.

Center board replacement

I am not sure how but I have lost my center board on my 98 :macx: . Any ideas on getting a replacement or is this something that I should try to frabricate :?: The two pins that the center board connect to look to be ok.

:?: I wonder if the champion 2000 can be placed in parallel with a honda 2000. I have a honda and really like it on my :macx: it will run the AC, micro wave, ect..., but it will not run the AC on my RV.

I know that our boats :macm: and :macx: are designed to be beached. But I am worred about getting stuck on a sand bar. I was thinking about cutting a 3" hole next to the vent hole just big enough for a bilge pump. Should I get stuck and not be able to back up with the motor, I would remove the ...

Do to the head space, I have an :macx: :) an we use the v berth, :macm: have a lot more room in the aft berth. We have plenty of room for two (three with peaches :) :D :) ) by removing the back of the seat and adding a pad to the port side of the berth. We use the aft for storage or grandkids.

You might look at a small Porta-Bote, some on this form utilize them as a dingy and like them. While I did read a few reports of others had them and after a few years got an inflatable boat. I don't think they will sink.
