Re: TRailer Bunks Versus Beds...
I put my M26 on a bunk lift all the time and switch between the Mac and my ski boat. No problems. You might need to adjust the width between the Mac and your walk around, but other than that I can't think of any other issues.

Re: What is my 2007 M trailer worth?
Since the trailer is only worth something to another MacGregor owner ( :macx: or :macm: ), you have a limited market. Most MacGregor owners in the market for another trailer are not in the market for a factory :macm: trailer. You will be lucky if you can get more than $800 for it and given the limit...

Re: Brakes not dis-engaging -- VERY hot!!!
I agree with Highlander, since your wheel bearings got so hot I would repack them with new grease.

Re: Brakes not dis-engaging -- VERY hot!!!
Jim - here is a link to your owners manual. It contains a whole section on maintaining the brakes. http://www.loadrite.com/pdf/LoadRite-Owners-Manual/OwnerManual0311.pdf Look at page 18 in the note: IMPORTANT - BLEED YOUR BRAKES Bleeding the brake hydraulic system at each caliper should be part of a...

Re: Brakes not dis-engaging -- VERY hot!!!
Jim - you have disc brakes so the advice from West Marine does not sound correct. Since it is both brakes, I would guess your trailer tongue needs grease. I suspect that when you stopped it compressed engaging the brakes and when you pulled forward again it did not extend back out. I will PM you my ...

Re: Newbie.
So if you spray water in the cabin, and it makes its way through the storage area holes, through the hole where the little black disc is, and/or other holes in the liner, it will end up ON TOP of the hull and ballast tank, which is the bilge area in our boats. You will NEVER open those white covers...

Thanks Phil. I like how you built the mounting plate. It looks like it work better than what I was thinking.

Re: Raymarine X5 & Honda BF50
I posted my wheel pilot installation two years ago in the mod section with a Honda BF50. Pictures included too! Phil - I looked at your pictures and but it is not real clear as to how you angled it. Did you have to make a new mounting plate for the unit in order to angle it? Also, it looks like the...

Raymarine X5 & Honda BF50
I'm in the process of installing the Raymarine X5 Autopilot on 26m and ran into a slight problem with the steering wheel. Seems that the X5 wheel gear ring hits the Honda shifter. I thought about rotating the shifter 90 degrees, but the neutral lockout is in a fixed position which prevents me rotati...

Re: outboard (Honda BF50A) overheating 1st day out
No pee stream = bad impeller 99.9% of time. Only other cause is a plugged hole which is usually visible. Catigale is right. One thing that has to be done when replacing the impeller is to flush the motor at the same time. I had my impeller replaced, but the pee stream would stop after a while. At f...

Re: Sunday I Take Deliverly Of Two New M's
Gary - now that you will have what, is 4 or 5 boats, you need the slip stacking lift. New to the market and first available this Sunday as well (holiday delivery). It is built to allow you stack up to 4 boats in one slip. Works on a similar concept of lifts that allow multiple cars to be parked in t...

Re: Moving to a multihull
Have fun with the new Cat, but remember the 26m is much easier to tow. Just saying, don't get low balled on the price. You can always keep both as the Mac is cheap to store if you don't store at the marina.
The Catamaran will be a great boat for the Chesapeake.

Re: Towing: Mazda CX-9 vs Nissan Pathfinder
Since your profile says "Still Shopping", so I'm not sure if you purchased a Mac yet. If you own one already, I would advise you put it on a scale loaded the way you would normally want to tow. If you have a 50hp or larger motor, I think you will be in for a surprise. With fluid, fuel, bat...

Overtones has what looks and sounds like the same Binoculars as West Marine for $50 less.

Re: Boat Charters
My brother took the same course with Rob Swain Sailing school in Tortola about 3 years ago. He raves about it and has recommended it to everyone. I'm looking into taking the Catamaran Fast Track Cruiser course with Swain this year as well.
