I connected a tube to vent the ballast tank. It goes to the anchor locker.

Re: MacGregor Sailing Accident - Safety Reminder

Re: Accidental Gybe Prevention/Control - Boom Brake

I've never really had a problem with this. I INTENTIONALLY Gybe all the time because it's often easier when tacking. Sure, it's frowned upon, but "my boat my rules". I don't think ACCIDENTAL Gybing has been a problem. The danger probably coincides with how you sail and in what kinds of wi...

Re: "Sub $600 Autopilot" Progress

Agreed. I refuse to put one of those donuts on my wheel. Your system seems superior. I'm sad I didn't get in on it. I really want an AP I still enjoy BOATS tiller raymarine ev100-AP installed down in the cabin. works perfect for me sofar. Although it was not under 600.-- AP is really great so far!

Re: Alternate ways to empty the ballast tank?

I am using a 10.-- matrass 12v blower. I put it directly into the ballast tank whole in the bow. Open the big valve outside. This way it drains the ballast Tank completely.

Concerning the space for the Anchor :macm: I think, the drum of the CDI furler sits too low. I am lucky, my Jambo anchor sits just well queezed there. But every time I use the anchor I have to be very concentrate not to smashe against the furler drum :D it ist what it is... I I cuold I would mount t...

Yes, the contact points are just so small.

You seem to have the original trailer setup.

Never heard that the boat cracked.

Re: 26M Aluminum Trailer

Hey Bill, Thanks for the responseoes anyone have an original 26M Aluminum Macgregor trailer that has the original wood bunks in place. If so, does the two side to side bunks only make contact with the boat hull in 3 locations on each of the two rear bunks. My bunks were replaced, but it appears tha...

Kurz, Before sending my previous post, I looked through the two :macm: manuals in our resource section. There is much information and easy to miss a particular fact in a search of the pages, and I must have missed it. This is of interest to me. Which :macm: manual was 60 degrees in, and what page. ...
