Ok so we finally established that I have a 1971 Venture 24 I went to a mac/venture 24 group that has a lot of phots in their database and my boat is an exact match down to the pleather on the cover over the keel pivot point except for two details that concern me. 1. there a divider of some sort that...
no viz I agree and sorry if I seem like I am coming off as ungrateful. I do appreciate all of the responses. I am impatient and young and I find it frustrating that sailing being a big part of the history of human beings has had such a poor time of properly documenting anything. I think its is prett...
LOL Doug ty for being a third party to say it. this is a common problem I see on the net sometimes I usually just shake my head and go whaaa? then the thought briefly occurs to me that their all on the phone, in on it coming up with responses to confuse me. anyway to clear up that last one I will st...
Before anyone starts in I did search this site and the sailboatowners.com site as well and everything there is a bit on the old side as in years. in my hunts found little in the way of helpfull infor on this topic and I have come to an inevitable crossroads where it it time to assess the keel. Moved from Powersailor Forum. If this is a Mac, it is not a 26X, or 26M.
looks an awful lot like the mac 24 of that era to me the deck over the bow section of the cabin as well as the portholes all appear to be of that year the only problem is the boat is too long. I dont know how I could have been 'supplied the wrong info' how often is the pinkslip wrong?
