26M trailer brakes

I need to replace the disk pads and possibly the calipers. I think they are UFP make and model DB 35. Can anyone verify that or tell me the correct data?

Re: Mercury engine idle - dying

My 60 hp EFI did the same thing because I didn't run it often enough. Added new fuel (it was low anyhow), added SeaFoam treatment to it and ran it on the water under power for about an hour just to be safe - problem has gone away. That would be a good thing to start with. My mechanic said it was the...

Re: Doyle sail tear

I had the issue of an aft tear on the main - like others, a $50.00 fix. Friend of mine had tears both for and aft - must be part of the sail design / application.

Re: Main Halyard to cockpit

I also use the Harken 140 mounted to the mast - works great. The thing I have yet to master is where to attach the haul down on the sail to get an easy haul down. The slugs bock no matter what position I use but the turning block is mounted to the rear hole on the mast mount - could be the problem. ...

I turned the bolt around and it is hardly ever a problem now.

Re: Organizing lines in the cockpit

I sail in a fairly narrow waterway so coiling them up is a hassel since I use them a lot for tacking so I used color tape to identify the lines since I didn't want to buy more lines right now - used small pieces to mark the line every foot or so. Used - obviously - red for the port genoa line, green...

Re: Reefing question

I have the Blue Water kit and it's not like you describe. It had a fixed point starbord on the boom at the mast to secure the line and a turning block on the port side opposite that. The reefing line goes from the starbord fix point to the reefing gromet in the sail and back down to the turning bloc...

Re: Desireable Options for new 26M

Just a few additional comments - I bought my :macm: last year: the roller furler is good; Be careful about engine size - the 4 stroke engines are tall - I have a 60 Merc big foot and it will not turn when up without rubbing the seat bottom and I have to sail with the engine less than completely out ...

Leak in aft cockpit

I have a leak in the aft cockpit of my 2011 26M allowing water to get into the aft sleeping area a few drops at a time - presumably from the pedestal bolts or the wire / cable pass through tube. Has anyone else had this problem? If the bolts are removed from the angle brackets on the pedestal, can i...

Re: Mercury 60hp, how to get it up?

I also have the 60 HP Bigfoot and it is mounted lowest position and will not completely come up with the seat down. I raise the seat to lower and raise the motor and when sailing, take it up to where the prop is barely in the water - that keeps it from scraping the seat. The other options seems to b...
