I don't think she would like that either!

Re: 26M Dagger Board Uphaul

I guess I could try to draw a picture, but that's gonna take me a few hours too ! :? . . . I will try to make some sort of a diagram. Like this? http://i63.tinypic.com/1ru1xl.jpg Loop tied into DB line with single block attached, then run through cleat [1], back to block [2], around block and back ...

Re: Good Cheap Generators: Harbor Freight & Ramsond Sinemate

Don't sale the "Portable Yamaha EF2000iS 2000 Watt Inverter Generator" short. It is very quiet, and the exhaust system is better. However, I would not turn my nose up on eather the Honda or Yamaha.

Re: custom steering Blue Water Yachts

Well at 80+ I think it would take me longer. Just to get up off my knees takes about 5 min, ha ha. I will install one though, and with practice maybe I can get the time down, getting off my knees I mean. I have been thinking about making a tool that would let me just reach down and move the connect...

Re: custom steering Blue Water Yachts

Disconnecting and reconnecting--only 2 seconds? I've gotten pretty good at it but that's in a calm harbour. It can be up to ten seconds bouncing in waves with that stupid seat trying to smack you in the head and trying to 'catch' the ball connector as the rudders and OB are moving with the flow as ...

Re: custom steering Blue Water Yachts

:D I just throttle down now connect the steering then power back up, takes literally two seconds to reconnect and we're off. Thanks for your replies. Disconnecting and reconnecting--only 2 seconds? Seems like it would take longer getting down on your knees, lifting the seat, etc. I have held off on...

Re: custom steering Blue Water Yachts

When using the quick disconnect, has anyone kept the motor in the disconnected state, and just used the rudders to control the boat? If so, how did that work out up to about 6 to 8 kts? I have a 26M.

Re: Question about boom

Here is another use for the topping lift. Just came back from the Seattle Boat Show. Went to a seminar on 5 minute reefing. After they reefed the Tack on the front of the boom, they used the topping lift to pull the back of the boom up to the Leech reefing grommit, and tied it to the boom. Fast and ...

Re: Second Motor(Kicker) on 26M

I made an emergency kicker bracket for a Suzuki 2.5hp. It mounts in place of the swim ladder on our 26M, using the swim ladder brackets for the mount. The boom vang is connected between the stern rail seat and the kicker bracket to adjust the height of the bracket. The starboard rudder needs to be ...

BWY & Tattoo 26

I am probably the last to know. I am going to the Seattle Boat Show this Sat, Sun, and Mon. I looked for Blue Water Yachts, but could not find them. So I called them, and asked if they would be there. The said no, as they did not have any boats for sale. I asked if the 26 Tattoo would ever be made a...

Re: Tattoo 26 sailboat

As for Cheryl, she has never been big on going online or posting here. There were a couple of dealers who posted here often. I guess most of them are too busy for this stuff. That may be the case, but she started this thread by making the first post, and asking for our help. Therefore, when she was...
