I’m looking at pictures of the BWY bimini and full enclosure and it looks like their Bimini is too short to stand in ? That is the definite advantage of Dowsar at double the cost.
Is local fabrication even an option ?
I better look at amazon and eBay ... never can tell

Re: Best X Bimini
I emailed Dowsar for quote and delivery time and they said that they were sold out due to “high demand” and invited me to buy in 2022. I’ll try BWY and see what they say.

Well shoot ! Biminis are not a hot top this week but over the years I recall some discussion. For now I’ll look at Dowsar and have already looked into BWY.

Re: Best X Bimini
Thanks a lot Tom, a picture of your setup would be cool, too. Are the stock type (BWY) any good ? I’m getting a late start here, and an “off the rack” is appealing as well.

Best X Bimini
I’m out of patience searching the archives guys, so in 2021 there must be a general consensus as to which Bimini is best? ....Just the Bimini, as i don’t intend to enclose the cockpit and would like, of course, to sail with the Bimini up. I saw one, I think, that slid back enough to clear the boom f...

Re: Boat Cover for Winter
I purchased a cover from sailorstailor 5 years ago, and I am wery happy with it. Expensive? yes but after 5 years in eastern Canada with winds up to 100km/hr on a regular basis, and sometimes lots of snow, it is still on good condition only 4-5 snaps are damaged and easily repaired. My boat is cove...

Re: Gate Valve / ballast fill valve
I'll get a manual valve and have it on hand to install when it finally fails. I bought a steering cable two years before mine finally broke and I has happy to have that on hand when it was needed. Some of those greases and sprays can cause the rubber to swell. I used marine grease and it seems to ha...

Re: Gate Valve / ballast fill valve
thanks a lot...mine isn't stuck, but I want to fix it before it's a problem. The waterproof grease helped a lot, but the valve is probably about shot
I guess BWY is the place to get the valve ? I get most of my parts there

Gate Valve / ballast fill valve
my fill valve is getting hard to pull up and down (after 10 years) and I'm wondering how often you sea dogs repair or replace those valves / seals ? I greased around the seal where the gate seats, and that seemed to help.
